1 yAs a friend, i highly reccomend against vaping. A: its new so we literally dont know the side effects, B: nicotine is addictive, you are going to get addicted and i personally dont want to see that.
look I don't know you very well but i do know you are a very smart and amazing person, and youve been through a lot. please think twice about this, its not good 😔

You should know by now that what people online say about me doesn't phase me. And as your friend I will help you know that I am safer than you'd imagine. Next time just answer the question instead of giving me life advice when you're about the same age as me.
- 1 y
Everyone else has already answered the question. Im just trying to help☹️it doesn't matter wether you are “safe” or not, vaping isn't cool, and im gonna repeat that over and over until you understand, okay?
- 1 y
Okay... I understand it's not cool. And I understand that it's not safe. But I for sure do whatever the hell I want with my body regardless of the consequences.
- 1 y
🤷♂️ i can't stop you, but i stick with strongly advising against it
- 1 y
Okay then.

There is no proof that nicotine in Vapes causes cancer, and vaping is way healthier than cigs no matter what some anti-science people say.Nicotine is a stimulant that makes a cig addictive, it relieves and helps your brain stimulate. However like all Stims it been used on average will lead to the opposite effect, it will change to make you tired and annoyed.
Much like sugar having to much leads to a crash.
But since it's addictive you'll want to use it anyway.
Nicotine if you aren't a regularly user of it you'll notice it's effects right away when it comes to doing to much. Myself can't vape any of that 20% Nic stuff, as it gives me a headache and makes me feel sick.
But vaping 5% or lower is typically fine for me to vape through the day without feeling the downsides.124 Reply- 1 y
I did the 10% it was nice actually.
- 1 y
It's nice until it's not. If you vape it long enough in a time you'll see it have those adverse effects of headache and feeling sick.
Building tolerance to it will make it feel less bad but it happens without much notice. My friend stopped smoking and say's he feels much better now, because well he was always in a state of that Nic getting to him but he was so used to it was normal.
Been addicted, brings all the issues an addict has.
But if used without been addicted Nic really ain't that bad. - 1 y
Yeah I don't think I'm addicted.
- 1 y
@Twalli We can in one very simple method tell me does vapor produce carbon monoxide?
If the answer is no. No matter what vapor is better for you.
Unless you really think somehow the small amount of chemicals in vapor is going to be more deadly than carbon monoxide which if it was we would know by now anyway don't take that long to figure out carbon monoxide bad side effects.
I've been vaping for years now, and I have friends that smoke do you wanna know who's got more health problems, looks worse, feels worse, how about their teeth?
It's a simple one to solve. Even if we find out oh somehow vapes effect you much worse when your 80 I can tell you with my own eyes smoking effects you much worse within just years compared. So I don't even know how that would be possible, and do you think I would of been better off if I smoked instead of vaped?
The answers are all rhetorical because anyone not been dishonest knows these answers. - 1 y
Saying that vaping is "way healthier than cigs" is like saying banging your head against a twice a day is way healthier than doing it 10 times a time. Umm, yes that's true, but it doesn't mean it's healthy or smart to begin with. Tobacco is worse because when it burns, it releases over 4 thousand other chemicals besides nicotine, and even without additives, smoking pure tobacco is not a healthy alternative to cigarettes.
"There is no proof that nicotine in Vapes causes cancer" - There's no proof that nicotine causes cancer... whatsoever, period! You're correct about that, but it's the additives in vaping that will get you as well. Johns Hopkins has done studies and found substances they could not even identify in vaping smoke.
If you were to put medicinal nicotine in a water pipe and smoke it without any additives, you would likely suffer from various side effects, depending on how much you smoke, despite building a tolerance to it. From a financial and health standpoint, the best idea is simple; don't smoke cigs, don't vape. - 1 y
typo: "banging your head against a wall"
- 1 y
@loveslongnails I mean read my words. Does saying healthier mean I'm saying it's healthy?
Last I checked that's not what it means at all and one is just arguing with me over something I never said.
And yes banging your head twice is healthier than 10 times exactly my point thank you.
And don't give me this rubbish ideology of it's better to do neither, that matters not people will always do one or another so why not be the less harmful one. It's like telling people not to drink alcohol well people always will so would you rather them drink a beer or two or multiple shots of pure strength vodka?
The answer is obvious. - 1 y
@Twalli It's pretty crazy to think the longer term effects will be worse, when short term effects of smoking are deadly lol. How's the longer term effects going to be worse than that?
It's a very simple question that easily answered, would you rather have a smoker or a vaper if you had to pick?
Every time someone tries to claim vaping is just as a bad or we don't know if it's worse yet you are fueling points for people to carry on smoking instead by such implications which hurts everyone.
It's like all these government polices in Australia that have banned vape stuff so... guess what everyone is going to buy cigs now. Their government is so delusional they would have people smoke cigs than vape. Sounds to me like someone's doing a favor for Tabaco lobbyists. - 1 y
I understand what you meant. It's just the way you worded it. A friend of mine said something like "One of my boyfriend's kids". Clearly since it was spoken there wasn't punctuation, but it sounded like she had multiple boyfriends. So I understood what you meant, but you worded it poorly.
Also I'd like to pose a possibility. Let's say vaping causes horrible birth defects because it damages your reproductive cells. The long term effects wouldn't affect the person doing the vaping, but the children. That could be a long tern side effect that we wouldn't know about until several generations have passed. We just don't know yet - 1 y
" People will ALWAYS do one or another so why not be the less harmful one" -ALWAYS?
So choosing to do neither is "an ideology"? Please. At best it's a sweeping generalization that suits your narrative.
The adult population of the world is roughly 5.4 billion people. Of that, an estimated 1.3 billion are smokers or vapers. That's 24% of the world's population, which means 76% of the world's population chooses NOT to smoke tobacco or other substitute products. If you don't believe those numbers, do your own research.
When people choose the lesser of two known evils, knowing that they're going to do one or the other, good for them. At this point in time, we don't really know how MUCH less the vape evil is. We only know how MUCH the cigarette evil is. My point is you can CHOOSE to do neither if you wish, just as easily as you can choose the lesser --- if you wish, like 76% of the world already does. - 1 y
@Twalli Eh if worded poorly sue me lol. I have dyslexia but I am pretty sure anyone can figure out what I am saying, I ain't that bad.
Smoking already causes horrible birth defects and many complications can come to pregnancy due to smoking.
I would say anything you can think of smoking already does way more and is already seen within a couple years. It's just not a rational argument to be like 'Well maybe it will be proven that drinking non-alcoholic drinks is actually more unhealthy in the future' or whatever example you want here.
- 1 y
@loveslongnails I ain't going to argue with someone who don't understand my words.
So all I will say is sure buddy, you keep living in your world. Best of luck to you. - 1 y
- 1 y
@Twalli Well that actually works the other way around. Sugar drinks are better for you, you know assuming all else is equal.
So then I would be saying non-diet are worse and have worse side effects.
The thing is, what world does E-liquid small amounts of chemicals less Nicotine in general non-monoxide, no tar worse for you?
If you can find me any proof for such idea then we would have something to talk about but because there isn't all science shows vaping is healthier end of story really. - 1 y
- 1 y
I'd like to see other responses. Can y'all just dm each other? It's getting really annoying. I'll give y'all two options... Dm each other or settle this.
I will remove the opinion if the argument ensues.
1 yAddiction... Cancer, Death... Anxiety
Costs money; if you smoke tobacco it stinks.
No, Vaping is not more healthy for you than the good old 'Cancer Sticks'
Why don't I quit? It's not as easy as it sounds, I have, after all, been a tobacco smoker for 30 years. I can quit, but I will have to replace it with something else. I have only ever managed to stay of the Roll Ups for 7 months.
But you are listed as 14 years old... Don't be daft; don't start with it315 Reply- 1 y
Um... I already did. And vape smells good. I had the mango passion fruit flavor.
- 1 y
I've read your reply to @dongie
With Vapes there is the added risk that it has been tampered with.
I just found out that my 16 year old daughter is now vaping (why does her mother allow that? She hated it that I smoke...)... and then I read in the newspaper that 75% of the Vapes confiscated in *British* High Schools contains Synthetic Drugs.
10% Nicotine contents is probably high already... but seeing that she said you looked "Buzzed", are you sure nothing else was it it?
Because I worry about your age... I don't really want to talk about Drugs
(I can, got sufficient 'experience'... the last thing I want to do is come over as promoting drugs and you decide to have a go at that) - 1 y
Yuh that's what j asked her. She looked fine to me too. So I guess it was just me. Lol.
- 1 y
But we did have another case of the giggles that night. Luckily we didn't stay up as late as all the other nights.
- 1 y
It could be just that you weren't used to the Nicotine... Even I, after having been a heavy smoker for 30 years, occasionally do get somewhat of a head-rush from a Roll Up... often of course after not having had a smoke for a little while. So it may just be that. But as I have said, people can and do tamper with Vapes.
I just feel that because you are young, only just tried it once so you are not addicted to it yet... that the smartest thing would be not to continue.
Vapes are not more healthy for you than a ciggie or roll up; not enough is know regarding what it cause in later life, although there have been already quite some horror stories of what happened to people who vaped a lot. Because people think Vaping is healthy, or more healthy, they'll start sucking on that thing 24/7; there is often far more Nicotine in Vape fluids, than tobacco... So these 2 factors, on their own or combined, can cause serious health risks.
I would give the same advise to my kids (I have a 14 year old son; 15 in December). I cannot prohibited them, I'd feel a hypocrite, because I am a smoker myself... but I will 'strongly advise' them not to smoke.
There really isn't much to gain... and the risks can be big. Not everyone gets Cancer from smoking of course, but the risk of getting some form of Cancer is far greater.
I started smoking around the same age as you, I was 15... generally the only reason young people start smoking is because they think it is 'Cool'. Yeah, it looks that way... but that 'Coolness' will disappear after a little while, and then you'll be stuck with a habit which can be very difficult to kick and can pose serious risks to your health. - 1 y
Lol... I'm not 15 yet, will be in October. But thanks for the advice.
- 1 y
It's up to you of course what you do
Lol, I must be getting old because I am basically giving the same advice to you as my grandmother gave me when I was your age.
She was a heavy smoker too, so of course she struggled to give me a lecture and just pointed out the risks and ask me if it was really worth it.
Funny thing is that when my mother found out, and she sent to me to my grandmother hoping she would give me a lecture... my grandmother gave me a 'sleeve' with 10 boxes of Benson & Hedges Cigarettes in it 🤣
You are welcome, and I wish you all the best - 1 y
Lol... yea. My dad actually taught me a thing or two. Especially how to roll. I learned on black and milds tho. He doesn't let me smoke his stuff, but I know how to from him.
- 1 y
@exitseven yup.
- 1 y
My intelligence hasn't faltered yet. I'm getting my 4.0s and am still going to college. So I see nothing wrong.
- 1 y
I've always 'kept' my kids away from it... Sure, they knew I smoke, they've seen me roll and smoke; but I am not letting to roll or something.
I also didn't smoke at home when my ex and I were together... I always went out on the balcony. I can't remember, but the year I had them coming over to this place, where I live now, I may have smoked with them in the room.
I was still surprised to hear my daughter had started to Vape; I can't say I really expected that, though she is the kind of girl who can go along in some 'hypes' a bit much (She absolutely loves BTS... even went as far as learning Korean on Duolingo).
But their mother always chastised me for smoking... and they are both firmly under their mother's 'skirt', so I assumed they would not dare to defy her.
But to finish things up... As you may have noticed, many people... me, a smoker, included... advise you to quit while you still can; but it is of course up to you what you do. - 1 y
Yes sir. Thanks.
- 1 y
@JesseP1nk I'd say the ones I have mentioned are quite negative... If we, smokers, are really honest; there's not much we get out of it and then place that next to the side effects and risks; smoking really isn't the smartest thing to do.
Would I be financially able to... I'd drop tobacco completely and smoke weed only; but weed is expensive here in the UK, and I still need something to roll my joints with. The 7 months I managed to stay off the tobacco were only possible because I replaced the tobacco with Chamomile which is less damaging to your health and not addictive. A joint just doesn't burn as well with Chamomile and the damn things turn into 'Canoes' every time. This was the only real reason why I went back to use tobacco.

They should do that outside. Stuff sticks to everything, damages house and kids lungs. 🤮. Get out for as much fresh air as possible.
- 1 y
Yeah... I hated being over his house so much. Now he doesn't give a fuck about me... everytime we talk I call him. Everytime we see each other I ask if he'll come and see me. And as of late, when I ask to see him he says he'll come and is a no-show.

1 yI had to quit when I vaped and smoked enough that my lungs felt like a balloon inflating and deflating when I breathed, it's been around 2 years and I still have some complications and still feel myself healing, it's said that if you quit it takes around 20 years for your lungs to fully heal and reach the equivalent of health equal to never smoking and that is for some cases because it's said scarring and some damages are permanent.
27 Reply- 1 y
Uh... are you trying to say quit? It tastes so good tho.
- 1 y
I wouldn't have commented anything if your health wasn't on the line, it will eventually increase your anxiety, it will become highly addictive from the comfort of it working indoors, you'll be puffing it every literal few seconds and you'll get even more anxious when it runs out and you'll want to get more and when you do, it will only get worse, I wasted thousands of dollars in like 2 years in just vape disposables alone and it only grows because you eventually drain through them and you go for the more expensive ones which have more puffs on them, you'll become enslaved to them, i wasted around 6 to 7 thousand with vapes and weed together, you think you have control but you dont and you'll realize that when you want to quit but you can't i tried to quit about 5 times until i actually did the 6th time and i still get cravings 2 years later my grandmother used to smoke my father as well (before I was born) and they say it will be a bit over a decade for these cravings to go away, if the only thing thats gives you cravings right now is the flavor then you can still go back now with little effort.
- 1 y

So that repeated increase in blood pressure takes its toll over time.10 Reply
