I have hormonal issues going on, got tested a while back, and my testosterone levels are higher than normal. I am planning to lose weight as well to get my periods regulated. I'm just worried. I have no insurance ATM, any advice?

Did they test your DHT levels too? I'm pretty sure they have 5AR inhibitors (finasteride or dutasteride) in female dosages. But female hormones are important too, because they cause hair growth. Like, having low estradiol (e2) will cause hair loss too. Maybe your doc is willing to do a full endocrine panel? How's your thyroid? Hypo?
Obviously losing weight will help your overall health, but medication, nicotine and drug use are possible things to consider too. And, of course, stress. It's toxic to every cell in our damn bodies.
To the question, it's not normal at 27. It's becoming way too normal in Western society through. We just have unhealthy lifestyles, all around.
Have you heard of the phrase "You are what you eat"? You eat garbage and your body turns to garbage. Eat food, drink, pills, perhaps cigarrette smoke or anything else that enters the mouth. G

Its holistic , you need a complete lifestyle change , no processed food , no processed sugar = ZERO , physical activity minimum 1 hour plus per day , first thing is weight control , from there all else will improve.
You need to start immediately , unless you want a very early death.
Yes i still have a lot of hair but i do have a few small bald spots compared to my hair like 10 years ago. Nothing to worry about just a normal part of aging.
To anyone that took any of those COVID shots, unfortunately it will be 'normal'. But no, that is not normal for any age.
Testosterone is good for hair, So that should not be the cause. Unless doctors say so.. apart from that, avoid doing things that are damaging your hairs.
Do you have a history with birth control?
Yes. I stopped taking it
Androgenic alopecia... While you were on it, it slowly thins your hair follicles. It also shortens the hair growth phase... did you notice more hair than usual coming out in the brush or in the shower?
Good news is it's supposedly reversable, but it takes a really long time for your hormones to go back to normal and then to allow normal hormones to make physical changes. You're looking at least about 6 months. Good news the worst of it is right when you quit the BC. ... just so long as they didn't switch you to some other drug that does the same stuff.
Doctors don't explain all the side effects (and there's a whole lot), they just want women, as many women as they can get, to take it.
I say don't stress
