They say dust is ~60% skin cells, though I doubt that's accurate, but it's the case that skin cells slough off all the time. You're just killing off the top layer of skin and therefor sloughing them off faster.

It's getting rid of the damaged tissue and replacing it with healthy stuff.
It usually don't except if you have been burn in second degree and this is because the skin and "molecule" of the skin are dead.
This is me right now too, the skin on my shoulders and arms is shedding 😅. The body is trying to get rid off dead cells.

People are like an onion. You have to peel them apart one layer at a time. Some people deserve it slow and painful. That aside. The sun speeds that process up. 🤓
