Yes so the rare times I've been depressed I immediately recognize it. I then take action. I start by picking something like my room and I completely focus on cleaning it up. I then completely rearrange it. The entire layout. Then I might go and get new decorations or pictures for my wall.
Completely change things up. Try to kick out of my normal routine a bit. Shake things up. This could even be changing how you look, how you dress. Hobbies you have.
Focus on exercising. Start a new type of workout. Do yoga if you haven't. Go somewhere you haven't been before.
Lots of times depression is tied to routine. You get stuck in a rlutine and your depression is part of that routine now it's tied to it. Try to shake things up.
I don’t have bad moods, however I do have random downs, for me I make sure I spot it and do stuff to distract, running every morning does give me that focus and being bloody busy.
Put your phone down get off the internet and go out after that shit. You're not helping yourself
