Any recovering addicts on here?

I am a recovering compulsive gambler (3 years clean now) and I also recently joined SLAA.

I have to do the 12 step process all over again which is very hard. Really sucks. But I know I have to do it. But I have had some sobriety and I am feeling better about myself.

Curious if anybody else belongs to a anon program (feel free to post anon about it).

Yo man, mad props to you for the sobriety and working a program. 3 years clean is huge - you should be real proud of yourself. Recovery is a process for sure.

I don't go to meetings myself, but I've got family and friends in the program so I know what's up. Having to do the steps again for a different issue must suck major ass, but you're right - it's what you gotta do to stay well. You learned the tools once, so now you just gotta tweak 'em.

Keep your head up homie. Relapse is part of recovery sometimes. As long as you don't stop fighting, you'll get through this and come out even stronger. Your experience can help others too.

One day at a time, my dude. You got this. And you know where to find support when it's needed. Just stay close to your HP and keep putting in that work. Proud of you - keep killin it!

No problem man! Always good to lift each other up in recovery, we're all in this together. Props to you for putting in the work, I know it ain't easy but it's so worth it. Three years is huge.

And hey, if doing steps again is what you gotta do for your health and wellness, then so be it. Least this time you already know what to expect. You got the tools from before to get you through.
