Ironically, searching for which was better was what lead me to this site because it came up in the search results somewhere. The internet was pretty 50/50 about it so I stuck with the mouthwash after though it did seem like the best argument I found was for using mouthwash first because the mouthwash can kill the fluoride and the active ingredients in the toothpaste can continue working if you don't wash it away, like you're not even supposed to rinse with water. But that toothpaste aftertaste lingering bothers me, so I'm going to wash it out with water anyway. The aftertaste of my mouthwash doesn't bother me so I use it after still even though I think it's probably better for your teeth the other way around.
