Do you really work on your teeth daily or do you just brush?

I said brush and floss as I do those daily, but I only use (alcohol free) mouthwash something like once a month or less.

I do also have a waterpik water flosser that I use a couple times a week.
All three. Back in 2020, I found out that I had periodontal disease. Basically, gingivitis, but worse. At that stage, you’re losing bone. Ever since that diagnosis, I take better care of my oral health. Things are much better now. 😊
During the day I brush my teeth and depends on the occasion I'll floss and maybe will use mouthwash. However, at night before bed, I brush my teeth, floss, and use mouthwash before inserting my retainer for the night.
Mouthwash was a salesman's (it was a long time ago) idea to sell more disinfectant.

I brush and use mouthwash twice a day. I don't floss, but I'm starting thinking that I should.
Water flossing is superior, more efficient and you're more likely to do it more often. You can also fill the reservoir with iodine or other natural antibacterial agents and clean below the gum line. Some tests show it to be superior to manual floss as well.
@Truthatanycost That's interesting, I had no idea. It makes sense to me. I might start flossing with water, thank you for the tip.
If you do that after every meal, I suspect it would be even more effective. I like to use hot water. Just be sure to angle it to below the gum line, and then later, on the tooth surface on the next run.
@Truthatanycost Thank you. I'll try that next I'm brushing my teeth.
I noticed that a Dentist advises against angling to below the gum line but I've always done so. But they also try to claim that Waterflossing is not enough which is a lie! See the below video:

@Truthatanycost It looks effective and simple. I would buy one if I could. I agree with you, it sounds like a lie.
It's all I use and along with my other practices, my teeth have become stronger. Why can't you buy one?
@Truthatanycost That sounds great. I think they're not available where I live.
Then providing it has the correct plug / voltage you can get one shipped internationally from Amazon, Ebay or Etsy. There is probably an Amazon in your country that sells one though. It's worth it because it's so powerful, it can mean the difference between having healthy teeth as one ages, or not.
@Truthatanycost I see. But if I ordered from Amazon would be more expensive. There's no Amazon where I live, so I would have to order it from a nearby country. But I believe you when you say that it can mean the difference between having healthy teeth or not.
You can often get interest free payments that split the cost. There are ways. This device is priceless. It's not an accident or coincidence that you've learned about it. Consider the cost of it compared to what a Dentist would charge...
@Truthatanycost Didn't know it. You're right, it's not a coincidence. I found something that helps me flossing at the supermarket. And it's cheap.
What did you find? I'm guessing a handle with the floss string in between it?
@Truthatanycost I can't explain it. But it said "flossers" on the package.
Oh ok I have an idea of what those may be.
@Truthatanycost Yes, I figured it out that you would know.
I almost forgot to tell you about oil pulling. https://www.verywellhealth.com/oil-pulling-5083468
Notice how the American Dental Association (ADA) does not endorse oil pulling... of course they wouldn't. It transformed my Dental health. I remember seeing a video that clearly showed significantly less bacteria and the Dentist was still in denial!
I use ozonated olive oil and do it 2x a day for 20 mins a time. Just note that if you do it too much, it can make your face smaller.
@Truthatanycost Oh, I've heard about oil pulling. I thought about trying but it sounds a bit risky.
I read the article and I can see why the American Dental Association doesn't endorse it. It doesn't surprise me the fact that the dentist was in denial.
Make my face smaller? How's that possible if I'm just cleaning my mouth?
The thing I notice about all of the articles warning the risk of oil pulling... every single one of them lies about it having no benefits. I've been doing it for years, it just has to be done correctly like everything else.
It can make your face smaller due to the number of muscles it exercise for those 20 minutes. We have over 30 muscles in the face, some say over 40 and doing all pulling too often will tighten them up and sometimes can make your face look smaller. I recommended it to a woman that told me she had a fat face and wanted it to look more like a cute princess type shape and it worked. I discovered this after people started saying my head looked smaller after oil pulling 4x a day...
A woman I knew asked me why my head looked smaller all of a sudden lol.
@Truthatanycost If it works for you, then it has more benefits than cons. Oh, I see why it make your face smaller. I don't want that. Lol
Your face will not get smaller from oil pulling 1-2x a day though.
@Truthatanycost It won't? But you said it could.
Only when done 4x a day due to the excessive use of those facial muscles. I've been doing it 1-2x a day for years and my head / face size is fine. It only got smaller when I did 4x a day.
@Truthatanycost Oh I see. Then maybe I will try. Thanks for the suggestion.
Yes, I'm proud to say I do. I'm not perfect though and at times, I skip when I am too tired, but I do frequently try to do all the above.
I'll brush and floss. fk that mouth wash, i feel as if it takes enough time to brush anyways and floss. And unecessary.
Sure I do.
I floss and brush daily, but only use mouthwash when necessary since it’s a special type that helps with gum pain or swelling that I occasionally get.
I also use a Waterpik. You gotta keep your teeth clean and without cavities, and the older you get, the more important it is.
I brush and floss, don't use mouthwash because it makes me gag 😂
The amount of people who don't floss 🥴 I hope they at least go to the hygienist regularly
Yes, yes and yes, and I faithfully get a Dentist visit every 6 months.
I bet none of them mention nutrition, the importance of vitamin D3, collagen and other minerals for the teeth!
@Truthatanycost Actually my Dentist always reminds me of things like that.
What does he say?
@Truthatanycost Brush twice daily, floss, take Vitamins daily, all the normal info.
What specific vitamins did he suggest?
I only brush, but recently upgraded to an electric toothbrush.
I don't floss, but I brush my teeth regularly.
That means every time you eat, food will remain in between your teeth and start to rot. Check out the Waterpik or other Waterflossers, it makes flossing easier and painless!
aww, reakly cute image!! i brush twice a day, floss once a day, and use mouthwash once a week.
I do brush my teeth twice a day
Flossing brushing your teeth and rinsing your mouth out with a rinse helps prevent cavities. A lot of the stuff prevents cavities.
I do all 3. My mouth doesn't feel clean until I do all 3
mouth wash reduces your nitric oxide production so brushing teeth is best
i brush, mouthwash and mouse
yes indeed i use all three
Yes and use mouthwash
I brush them and use mouthwash
Can say that I do.
I mostly just brush
Yes.
