Best non deadly self defense weapon for small woman?

What is the best tool for self defense that is not deadly? Like no guns, knvies. Something to carry to keep safe. I have no training but can learn. But I'm not very big or strong.

Tazers, pepper spray, a REALLY bright flashlight, maybe even a pepperball gun.

But in all honesty, I'd take a pistol over any of that. Because I see so many instances of tazers and pepper spray doing absolutely nothing when the perp is hopped up on drugs.

Tasers because spray has a safety latch and takes time to open.
