Do plasma centers test still test for hiv?

I just found out someone that I had sex with in 2021 has hiv. I donating plasma at the end of 2023 and beginning of 2024 at a different center and I don’t remember them testing me in front of me. I donated a couple of times in 2017 before going back last year and I remember them doing the rapid test in front of me. I don’t remember them doing that these last two times. I know I have to go get an official test still but knowing that they still test for would ease some of my anxiety before I take it.

Yes, every container of plasma that you donate is tested for HIV before it is put into use. If the plasma fails the HIV test, the donor will be notified by the plasma center that their donation was unable to be used.

Many centers test the actual plasma instead of testing the person.

I ain’t say I had it don’t do that. I went on this girl I had sex with ig and I found a comment with someone saying you got hiv I found your pills. We probably had sex about 5 times in 7 month span and the last time we did she start bleeding I don't know. I went and donated plasma so I’m just asking if they still openly tested for it
