How muscular is too muscular for a girl?

I'm built like the girl in this video. I'm proud of it and I'm not going to hide it regardless of what you say because I work hard for it. But I just want a general opinion of what is the ratio of guys that go for this look vs. guys who think it's too much.

There are a lot of men who go for that look. I know because I am one of them. One thing you have to understand is that as a strong woman you will scare away men who are the traditional/patriarchal types. The men who go for women like in that video tend to be more timid by nature and typically don't make their intentions/admiration known unless you initiate first. So I hope you don't mind the idea of being the one who has to initiate/approach in the beginning and try to force the guy to come out of his shell, because the types of guys who need that kind of treatment are exactly the ones who go for girls like you.

Basically if you want a man you have to identify a timid guy who has been checking you out, single him out of the crowd, approach him, and hope for the best. But hey, it's what men have to do all the time so it's not so bad.

The girl doing the exercises was a little too much for me. I do like fit women but yeah a little much. The host seemed to be pretty nice though.

I haven't been able to workout for a while and have gotten smaller but am back into the gym now after physical therapy. I've noticed before that I get even less attracted to unhealthy looking women when working out and I appreciated women with a little more muscle than normal.

WOW! If you look like those girls then how the hell did you do it? What do you eat? how often do you go to the gym etc? Share some of your secrets with me. Not looking to get that big, but am interested in getting thinner and leaner.

6 meals a day, my calorie needs vary depending on whether its workout day or rest day. I normally eat about 3000 calories a day but on days when I exercise I make it a point to eat about 4000. Carbohydrates should come from fruit and vegetable sources. Grains should be limited. Don't be afraid to lift heavy at the gym. Do intense cardio sessions 3-4 days a week.

I do my lifting at the gym but for my cardio I mix and match various cardio DVDs from the P90X and Insanity DVD video series. The Plyometric DVD that comes with P90X is one of the best cardio routines you will ever go through inn your entire life.

Also I plan out my meals a day ahead of time. And I only eat foods containing whole grains (the only types of grains you should be eating, along with oats) the day before I plan to do a high intensity cardio routine You need to regulate the carb level in your body but you need a lot in your system before you go through a high intensity cardio workout because that's your fuel. And you need to replenish it right after, then keep carp count to a minimum except when you're loading up for your

wow! 3000 cal a day! that's insane, how tall are you btw? I have had almost zero time to get to the gym with work and uni that I have just started eating less calories so I don't put on weight. I got leaner and thinner before I went to Europe, the minute I stopped exercising it all basically turned to fat. Yes I am definitely not one of those girls that is afraid to lift heavy weights, I wouldn't bother going just to workout with less than 5kg.

3000 cal a day is not insane for someone who works out and is looking to build muscle. A person who lifts weights and does intense cardio often has much higher calorie requirements. If you do not have time to go to a gym then your diet should be completely different.

I only go to the gym about 4 times a week and usually I do a body pump class, I have been staking on the weights latey but I still don't know how much I should be eating, because sometimes I just feel so weak and can't do much. I also do Jacobs ladder, (its this huge staircase with 300 steps or so, I do around 4 laps, 3 times a week, sometimes do 5-6 times. So that's my HIIT but sometimes again I get so weak after my 3rd one and think, hmmm thought I ate enough to have the energy to do more?

You can get it. But it takes a lot of work. And believe it or not the nutrition end of it is way more important than the exercise. They're both important but where I'm at right now I could slack off a bit on exercise and maintain for a while on nutrition practices alone. But it couldn't go the other way around.

It's hard to tell the ratio of guys that would like this to those who don't. Personally I think it's just a bit too much on the upper body (lower body is really hot). I wouldn't write of a girl for being like that, but I would prefer it if she was a bit less muscular. Great job! I know how hard it is to get a body like that.

I don't need to do anything I don't want to. I like looking this way and I like being able to do the things that having a fit body like this allows me to do. Think about it. Is it really worth changing an exciting lifestyle just to conform to someone else's idea of the way things should be?
