I’m curious what I would wear and I assume there’s certain areas they won’t touch.

I have had professional massages from a LMT.

Once they come into the room to introduce themselves they will tell you to undress to what you're comfortable with.

A lot of people talk all of their clothes off and this is ideal for the best massage. (That doesn't mean they intentionally touch your genitals or breasts. It just gives them more access to the areas near those parts.)

And when the LMT leaves the room so you can undress they will tell you to lie down on the massage table and cover yourself with provided sheet.

So for the super modest people they should at least undress to just their underwear.

So you can really wear pretty much anything you want and if you're going to keep your underwear on just wear a bra and panties that are as comfortable as possible.

Remember that the LMT has seen it all many times before. And they will only undrape the sheet from the area they're working on at any given time.

Try to relax as much as possible because that's a big part of what you're getting the massage for in the first place.

I've only ever had one professional massage. They just aren't my thing (I'm weird about personal pampering), but someone bought it for me, and I gave it a try.

Yes, there are areas that they aren't going to touch, and in most cases you can leave your underwear on. Even though I've only had the one, I haven't heard of too many reputable places where you'd have to get naked.

Go with a chain if you want to avoid potential brothels, my local chain is Massage Envy and I have a membership with them so I get a massage every month. My back is kinda fucked up and I need it. Most places will tell you how much you can/should dress down. The expectation is naked aside from whatever towel/robe they might provide but honestly you can keep your underwear on. Just not your bra, they need access to your full back so the bra has to come off.

Yes, I played hockey and the sports trainers would give deep tissue massages. It was actually painful at times but that's what it should be like at first. I just wore a towel to cover my unmentionables. They wouldn't touch anywhere "private", it didn't matter how much I begged them to!

Once only - a good friend of mine (man as well) is a certified medical massage therapist.

I thereafter only exploited all other local massages on offer for sexual purposes - and exclusively with women.
