Technically⌠the way it was worded was that I âshatteredâ a lot of the bones of the left quadrant of my left foot, and badly sprained the right quadrant of the right foot at the same time. So it was a bunch of bones⌠I think there was also a big toe break at the same time.
I fell at a friends place, drove home, dad drove to the hospital. The hospital messed up a bunch of information, and after a bunch of x rays, I âhad a minor sprain in the right foot.â And they completely ignored that I kept saying my left foot was REALLY hurting. And dadâs pissed he had to drive me to the hospital over âa minor sprain.â Few hours later, they call up at like 645am and say âGet back to the hospital NOW. We noticed something in the X-rays.â Luckily, I got my toe of my left foot just barely in a few x ray pictures by accident while they were focused on the right, and the overnight staff realized the toe was messed up, and FINALLY X rayed the left; and thatâs when they told me about the multiple fractures and (now severe) sprains on the right.
I think a week or two later, I also hit the foot of my bedframe (in the dark) while hobbling around returning from the bathroom at 2am. I think it was my pinky and the toe next to it; it wasnât checked by a doc, but it felt (feels) like arthritis from a break, and often hurts around the same time (though not always). So I did a bunch of bones at once AND both at a friends house and (I think) in my bedroom. So two places⌠and a bunch of the bones in my left foot.
I stubbed my little toe badly one time. I thought it was just a simple stub, but I believe it was broken. It didn't heal right and now when I sleep at night I have to hold my foot off the side of the bed a bit because it still hurts if there is pressure on my toe, though it is not problem walking on it.
I have something going on where it feels kind of like a hot poker gets stabbed through my toe and someone pulls it fast so it "zings" my foot. It jolts and startles me. (No, it's not diabetes or anything, I keep getting checked). I just think it's nerve damage and arthritis. Only this year have I been able to put a blanket on my feet without it bugging me. It's a bit better now, but still zings more than I probably notice. We tried a wire thing that was supposed to prop up the covers at the foot of the bed, but didn't fit well, and kept falling, either hitting me when I slept or falling loose out the side. Then I got two special pillows to try to prop the blankets up, but while sleeping, I'd accidentally kick them (which would bother my feet) or it'd still fall down.
So I just usually try to keep the blankets off my feet. I just got a VERY light, but decent, throw (blanket) that I can put over my feet (warm), but this is about the only thing. I try to keep my feet out, but it gets cold in my room, so I'd rather my feet be warm, but I just tolerate the weight. Sometimes I try socks, but they tend to pull and constrict... (perhaps going without socks more often this year is what's helping a little). Yeah, walking (or putting pressure on it feels slightly better this past year. (after roughly 15 years, it's about time).
Hmmm, maybe it was broken and never had a chance to heal because you walked on it all the time?
Whats amazing is that bones stop growing else wed all br like andre the giant. But when briken they rememd. How the heck does tiny little cells brain amd nervous system know there is a bone broke to inflame and make bone?
Amazing self healing programmable robot!
Yes, multiple breaks.
I was a passenger in a car accident. You will break bones going through a windscreen at 100MPH.
If you are going 100mph and go through the windshield you will most likely wind up dead.
No seatbelt? đ¤đ¤
@DryGermanGuy I know youâre a safe driver and I will be riding with you
@jennz6
Truth be told, I drive almost always too fast, but never at suicidal speeds. đ¤đ
@DryGermanGuy I love đ it fast
I only once broke my right pinky finger when playing basketball in gym class 6 years ago
Turned it into a finger fry, huh?

No.
Never broke any bones surprisingly considering how many things I did as a kid and falls
Luckily, kids are more supple than adults and don't get hurt as badly as an adult would. Did you ever "bail out" of a playground swing before? Or jump from the top of a jungle gym?
Yeah I did all that stuff and jumped out of trees
Never in multiple places. But multiple bones in one place! Three ribs and one probably wil never knit back together!
Just exchange "Hearts" for "Bones" in this song.
https://youtu.be/u1fRX0yiL_c?si=bBGdD2g2keP_xwgH
I broke four ribs crashing a motorcycle and a couple of years later an ICU team broke five resuscitating me during a 3 month coma.
Wow, must have been heavy handed by some brute ER people. đŻ
I've never heard of any ribs being broken by CPR before. I guess I won't have to worry about being gentle if I ever have to do it. I can go crazy on them. đ
For some bizarre reason it's not something they teach. More people might survive the process if it was taught that a couple of busted ribs and alive is more desirable than bones intact and dead for most people.
I've even heard of people cracking the sternum, although that's far harder to do.
But think about it - CPR is pushing onto the ribs and sternum with sufficient force to make the heart beat again after it's stopped. Sing either "Staying Alive" or "Another One Bites the Dust" to get the rhythm of around 60 beats per minute and consider you have to keep going for perhaps 10-20 minutes to get the heart to reboot. Or 4 hours in my case. The rhythm has to be re-established.
Go nuts. I've only heard of one person who ever sued someone for breaking robs during CPR, and the judge threw the case out. Probably on the grounds of no harm having been caused. Possibly because it was the dumbest thing possible.
Wasn't that the Good Samaritan Act? That people trying to help you can't be sued for any injuries caused, like breaking ribs?
I'm in South Africa, and at the time I was in ICU in a coma. It was also a Covid unit in 2020. WHO guidelines instructed hospitals not to attempt resuscitation on a Covid patient as sick as I was.
This, among a few other things, is why from that point on anything endorsed by the UN, including the WHO, WEF, etc can kiss my Anglo-Saxon backside.
Most civilised and intelligent countries have something similar to the Good Samaritan Act
Yes. When I had the compound fracture of my right tibia from the vehicle that hit me in the corsswalk, my fibula in the same leg shattered into multiple pieces.
Did we see you being hit in a You Tube Video? There is a lot of that stuff on YouTube.
Yes I broke my ankle in 3 places and needed to have screws put in it that still exist there. I broke the same one again about 14 years later.
35 and have never broken a bone in my body. Which is crazy when I think about how reckless I can be
I once got stitches but never broke any bones. Have you?
My right hand I was playing around in car. My mom accidentally closed it on my hand i was 3.
I suppose it took awhile to heal. Hard to keep a 3 yr old still or not using their hands.
I broke a couple of vertebra, that was awesome.
@KrakenAttackin Story time...đż
You are lucky your spinal cord was not injured by bone fragments. đŻđŤ
@Ariesman81 Ejected from an F-18 after my nose gear snapped during the catapult launch. The impulse from the ejection roke a couple of vertebrae and tire up my shoulder. I ended up in the water and was pulled out by a rescue swimmer from a Helo. Fucking awful.
@KrakenAttackin Alright Goose... I wanna believe you but imma need some photos!đ¤Ł
@Ariesman81 Bruh, this was 1995. (I am 55 not 45). I was still in training and left the Navy soon thereafter. This is actually a really bad chapter of my life.
no but it makes me cringe thinking about it
well i've broken a bone before but NOT IN MORE THAN TWO PLACES
like i've broken my collarbone, wrist, and foot before
@MemeSupreme All at one time? After watching You Tube videos, people seem to be breaking things all the time. As long as you don't break your skull you are doing well.
no lol it was at different points i broke them
Yes. Required surgery and rehab.
Nope, not even one bone break.
@daniela1982 I disagree with your update. I had lots of fun as a kid, many cuts, scrapes, a few torn tendons, dislocated finger, even had a rusty nail go through my foot. But I never broke a bone.
I never broke anything.
How about an hearts?
Hmm, maybe if you told the truth about where you lived. Just saying.
Are you bragging or complaining?
If you live in Poland why would you even care about US Politics or who was confirmed for what post in the Cabinet? Something smells fishy.
Iâve never broken a bone.
you'll break my funny bone...
I never broke any bones
Have never broken a bone.
I have never broken a bone.
No i have but I've broken more than one bone
no, my bone has never been broken.
Yes, Pott's Fracture
Who was throwing pots at you? Any pans too? What is a Pott's Fracture? đ¤
