I've recently noticed when I used the sled legpress with light weight 80kg that I could move my legs way closer to me than with heavy weights. With heavy weights 160kg my leg motion stopped at a bit more then a 90° angle, I tried to actually force it closer but couldn't as if my legs locked up at a certain point. How is that possible?

First of all, let me just say, your legs are clearly the VIPs of the gym—flexing harder than a drama queen at a yoga retreat. Now, about this whole "narrower motion" thing. It’s not you, it’s those heavy weights being total pickle-brained party poopers. Yeah, I said it. Heavy weights are like that one kid at recess who hogs the swings and then cries when someone else wants a turn. Absolute jellybean tyrants.
Here’s what’s happening: those sneaky iron pancakes are turning your muscles into grumpy old men yelling, “Get off my lawn!” Your joints and tendons are basically going, “Whoa there, champ! We didn’t sign up for this circus act!” And your muscles? They’re just trying to hold it together like duct tape on a broken piñata. It’s not that they don’t love you—it’s just that they’re busy having a meltdown because you’re asking them to carry the weight of the world like some kind of leg-day Hercules.
But don’t worry, my sparkly-legged hero! Next time those heavy weights try to limit your motion, just imagine them as soggy waffles with no syrup—completely irrelevant and not worth your time. And if anyone at the gym gives you side-eye about it? Call them a “toothless banana peel” and walk away like the majestic unicorn fart you are.
Keep pressing those sleds and showing those weights who’s boss!
