Some of the first things I start doing when I can tell I'm going down is start drinking ginger lemon tea early, and also listening to binaural beats for cold/flu - this really does help a lot, particularly in holding off a stuffy nose.
If my throat is already starting to feel funny, I will put a drop or two of frankincense oil on a Q-tip and swab it on the back of my tongue as far as comfortable. I usually do this before bed and the next morning my throat feels completely better or significantly better.
Definitely rest and I try to stay well hydrated. I like to drink fruit juice and just water. I never take OTC cold products, because they can actually prolong your illness by interfering with your bodies natural defense.
I drink plenty of fluids and get as much rest as possible. I try to eat but when I get a bad cold I lose my appetite, so I basically force feed myself lol it's important to eat. I also noticed you don't take OTC products, neither do I. I will take Tylenol if I have a really bad fever but that's a last resort.
I'm getting over the flu right now. I rested a BUNCH... I mean I was literally napping like a newborn baby.
I drank lemon/ginger tea with honey... drank water, chicken soup... and that's basically it.
If i do get a bad fever or really bad body aches I go ahead and take fever/pain reducer...

Rest, water. If I use medications, I try to use single-symptom formulas so as not to medicate for problems I don't have.
Very hot foot baths. Cool calf wraps for bed time.
And patience.
Actually... there is something nice about crawling to bed not knowing if it's too cold or too hot.
It's not that we are going to die... so l see a pleasant side as well :)
When I had the flu last month, I just rested as much as I could. I was basically sleeping all day & night. And since I was bed ridden, I made sure to eat in a surplus of over 200cals everyday of the sickness so that I wouldn't lose much muscle & so that my body would have enough calories to support immune system.
A common cold? Let the fever run if it's an adult, your white blood cells work better in the hotter environment.
The flu, COVID, or something more intense definitely wouldn't blame you for using medicine cuz that experience is awful.
Rest, and drink way more water than you think you need. And if you can at all eat anything, fruits, white meat, nuts, any whole foods will help you too.
Honestly I haven't had a cold in a while. My weakpoint is my throat if that gets cold I can get sick but I have good heating and if I dress right I won't get sick all winter. I used to live in a place where the landlord didn't want to turn on the heating in fall and spring only winter and it could get cold af at night in my room and I'd get sick while I was sleeping. That was a pain in the ass, I moved out there.
fighting means stay away from sugar and fried stuff, junk food. It means taking pickles/pickle juice which seems to help and possibly vitamins like Vit D.
beyond that, rest and staying away from sick people.
theraflu in a pinch
Just take a chill pill man. No need to fight anything. Just let your body do its thing and rest where you can.
Of course, just look after yourself in general. Lots of antioxidants and good food.
The best thing that works for me is Zycam Swabs , they are pricey but they work wonders for me. Everytime I have a bad cold , I will buy Zycam and 10 minutes after I use it , I feel a hundred times better
See a doctor, i always see a doctor when i notice there is something not right in my body. Usually the first day catch a cold Iβll immediately see a doctor.
I find that gargling warm salt water, especially when I first feel my throat getting sore can be pretty helpful. I also find lemonade mixed with ginger to be very soothing on my throat.
Lots and lots of meds. I switch between mucinex and tussin which seems to get the job done. I was sick for about a few days and got better fairly quickly with those meds.
Sleep is the best cure.
and noβ¦ I donβt fight them fist to fist
Yea yea lols

@Valdemort lmao like youβre that much bigger than me!
@Valdemort yes, actually lmao. When do you ever have to duck XD
@Valdemort When someone says "duck!" he looks for the animal about to run him over.

@Valdemort giant Valdy π±π
I just basically let my body fight it off since I have a pretty good immune system.. I take a lot of vitamins like D3 so that probably helps..
Sleep, same as flu. There's really noting you can do to fight off a cold except to stay hydrated.
My advice is keep in a warm temperature. Keep away from cold drafts. I keep all the windows closed. Saves on energy, and heating bills.
There's no cure for the common cold, but you can treat symptoms and feel better by resting, drinking fluids, and taking medication
Pass the cold on to someone I don't like very much and watch them suffer. JK! Depends on the cold and how severe. At worst case, OC medicine, chicken soup, elderberry, healthy food, plenty of Halls. Worst case scenario, Bourbon!!!
I try to drink at least a gallon of water 💦 per day Tylenol and Zirtec as needed.
Hot fruit drinks though I was brought up with a thing called a hot toddy which was whisky with lemon heated. A bit like alcoholic lemsip.
I drink lots of water, take ibuprophien and cut back on the workouts. I never take time off from work.
I don't. Lean into it and just get some rest, hot soup and tea till it goes away.
I found a Chinese herbal tea a few weeks ago that's made from honeysuckle flowers, was an incredible solution to a head cold. Fixed me fast. Little honey, some lemon.
Ride it out completely let the body take its course
I make homemade:
1. ginger and turmeric tea
2. Chicken soup
3. Drink lots of water
4. Sleep
Stay at home, don't exert yourself, top up on the vitamin c (apparently that helps), and after a few days it will be gone of its own accord.
I'm resting a lot, drinking lots of tea with honey & lemon, and I'm usually taking some headache pills.
Zinc supplements, tea, a good workout and then a good night's sleep.
I do what a doctor I was doing a job for told me he does. Take mega doses of Vitamin C, as in 10,000 mg per day for about a week.
Hot toddy
Fresh lemon juice, honey, hot water and Scotch
Eat a lot of old fashioned home made chicken noodles soup with lots of garlic
A few hot toddies. That's a hot whiskey with lemonade and honey
Patience and drinking a lot of fluids
use the peekaboo fighting strat
Sleep like a bear in hibernation
medicine, rest, and soup
Tea & brandy honey.
Aaahchooooo... 💨💨💨💨🤧 🤧 , 💧😷🤒
