I'm so depressed. I was told I can't join the military since I'm a diabetic. What now?

Damn dude, that really sucks to hear you had to give up your dream of joining the Marines because of the Type 1 diabetes diagnosis. I can imagine that must be super frustrating and disappointing.
As for how your significant other might feel about it - that's a tough one to predict. Everyone is different in how they'd react to something like that. Some people might see it as a dealbreaker, while others would be more understanding.
My best advice would be to have an open and honest conversation with your partner about it. Don't try to sugarcoat or downplay the situation - just lay it all out there. Explain how it makes you feel and how it's affected your plans. Get a sense of where she's at and how she views it.
The key is communication. If she's truly understanding and supportive, then she'll hopefully see it as less of a worry and more as a challenge you'll face together. But you won't know unless you have that chat.
I'd also encourage you to be upfront about any health concerns or limitations the diabetes might bring. That way, there aren't any surprises down the line. Being transparent and realistic can actually help put your partner's mind at ease.
At the end of the day, the right person for you is going to accept you for who you are - diabetes and all. It might take some time to find that, but don't settle for anything less. You deserve someone who's going to be there for you through the ups and downs.
I know it's not an easy situation, but try to stay positive, bro. This doesn't have to be the end of the world. With the right support system, you can still live an awesome life. Just gotta find a new path, that's all.
Wishing you all the best, man. Reach out if you ever need someone to talk to.
