They’re not depressed, they just believe their worth not only derives from external sources (pretty women), but those external sources are made by design to give them said validation and don’t understand why they’re not willing to give them that reassurance as if they’re not living people with individualistic thoughts and feelings. No one can force these dumbasses to reflect on their actions, but they need that more than happy pills.

Is the whole telling lonely people to go to therapy, a cash grab by the industry then? I was under the impression that some lonely people end up getting radicalized and going down the route of the Incel movement, but many involuntarily celibate people who just struggle to find partners due to depression, loneliness, social conditions etc. still exist and are benef through therapy and happy pills.

Therapy can’t force them to reflect. Reflection on their actions is what they need. Therapy can give them the tools but you can honestly do it alone, at home, for free. You just have to be willing to accept that it goes deeper than your outward appearance
