Are there advantages and disadvantages to male or female massage therapists?

I have scheduled a massage. The lady at the front counter wanted to know if I preferred a male or female therapist? I have never thought about it. If you have ever gotten a massage, would there be advantages and disadvantages to each? Thanks.

A male may be stronger and be able to massage deeper if that is what you are looking for. If you need to be massaged on a more private area like your upper thighs, you may not be comfortable with a male. If you want a massage on your bare back, that may also be uncomfortable for you it it's done by a male. It's all about your personal comfort level.

Well here , I'd the pretty scared of both ! Its hard to have a legit massage , so I go to a genuine physio , and the massage is a really STONG female.

My answer is I dont really know ! hahahahaha

Happy endings are not my thing , and they try do the same for females , each to their own.

Having had a massage recently, he was able to able massage out the wicked kink in my neck. He was also older and very handsome which make it awkward. My face turned red and I was so embarrassed when it happened during the massage.

Women are better if you're a woman less chance of getting in trouble and it would be more comfortable too

I assume they ask because some women may not be comfortable with a guy touching them during a massage.

And some guys also don't want a guy touching them, even though it's non-sexual.

They just ask, based on your comfort level. Beyond that, there's no difference.

I have had both and found the women less strong but can manipulate with their bodies very well. A Thai massage I had some years ago almost broke me as a 40kg lass it was amazing how well she used leverage to get the job done. Male ones are ok though they won't stand on your back and crunch your spine with quite the same dexterity as a female would.
