What Girls Said
All the time. I never feared dying (like airplane crash or something) until I became a mother because suddenly you fear if you die how that effects them. And also fear of them getting hurt or dying. And then of doing everything right, keeping them safe and healthy. Add in emotional pressures to raise them right and provide. It's never ending.
I think it gets easier when they older and a lot of the responsibility for them being safe and well and making their own choices in life falls onto their shoulders. But of course no. mother wants to see their children hurting or struggling.
I am the sole carer and the sole provider of an autistic 5 year old boy. I work a full time job. A lot of times, I have just wanted to be dead.
