I try not to… but if I want to show a picture or something to a friend at dinner, the picture is on the phone. I apologized recently to a friend as I had something mess up last minute, so I needed to get it out last minute, so I was going to be on my tablet for ten or fifteen minutes. Luckily, everything had been saved so it took about two minutes to send it. I checked it because we were talking about the weather, so I wanted to see if there would be a break in the storm where we could head out and not get drenched. Otherwise, I try not to use it.
Not normally. Occasionally, my wife and I discuss something during dinner that requires us to look up something on our phones. But neither of us texts, makes calls, or surfs the net while dining together. That would be rude.
If I'm eating alone, I might play a game on my phone, or watch TV... the news.
Thanks for MHO
Phone? No, unless my close friend is very stressed and called me or If I got a work related call, in that case I talk while eating.
TV? Yeah, I do that a lot. 😬🙁 It's a bad habit since I was a kid. It's kind of comforting but I make sure I chew slowly. I am very well aware that I have to chew at least 20 times before I take another bite. The reason why I never gained lot of weight. Never had bloating or other stomach issues.
Absolutely Not...No Way... We have a unbroken rule which clearly states...No TV and most definitely NO PHONES whilst at the dining table... This also applies to phones being turned to vibrate only (should there ever be an emergency) if we're dining out.

I'll watch something on the computer while I eat. I want as little time with the phone as possible!! Now that I've destroyed the little fucker, I won't have ANY!! The ONLY one I WANT to talk to can't even get through to me, anymore!!! That's the BIGGEST reason I destroyed that fucking piece of shit!!! If she can't even call me, there's no point in even having it!!
We don't even turn our TV unless we are going to watch a DVD or Blu-ray, and outside work hours we don't use phones at all.
Currently, I couldn't even tell you where my phone is.
I haven't engaged with a TV since 1999. Every time I go out I make everyone put their phones in the center of the table. The first person to reach for their phone pays for the entire party. Needless to say I dont think its ever happened and we have nice nights without phone bullshit
Not my phone, unless I'm on a video call and my hands are free. I don't like phones at the table, however, I like to have the TV on while I'm dining.
wtf do y'all be watching that has you just straight up swallowing your foods whole simply because you're looking at a screen & not blankly staring at a table? 🤣
