Teenager attacked: lucky he didn't get his nose and fingers bitten off while using BJJ only to defend himself. What do you think?

I wrote that a simple groin kick or throat punch followed by TMA Japanese jiu jitsu wrist locks would have worked.

It's great that the kid "defended himself" using what he was trained in, but this proves my point that BJJ is for SPORT FIGHTING where there are 30-something major rules and over 100 BANNED striking and submissions. Real street fights involve biting, spitting, groin attacks and throat attacks.

Kid is also lucky he didn' tget bitten in the jugular or carotid, he'd be dead before the ambulance arrived.

Japanese Jiu Jitsu combined with Karate striking can win this fight without getting bitten and without ever even getting hit by the attacker. I know, I've defended myself with those techniques several times as both a teenager and an adult.
