Yes and no. If it’s one-on-one and you have some good defensive moves against someone punching, especially against a boxer then it could be useful to take someone down w out hitting them. On the other hand you don’t want to take a fight to the ground, the person may have friends there who might start kicking or hitting you when you’re down. Sure that could happen in a standing fight but at least you’re on your feet that you have a chance to move or even run.

hell yeah!
people really bought into that hype that Renzo Gracie started when he upload them videos of him challenging other fighters from different MA background. but they seem to forgotten that BJJ is only effective in competition where the floor is padded or in a ring where there is a referee or a MA master to stop the fight if something goes wrong.
out in the streets however is safe to say that BJJ is USELESS
