Steve Bannon has been charged with contempt of Congress & found guilty, while Brennan, Clapper & others who lied to Congress have never been charged or prosecuted. This just shows yet again how the DOJ has been weaponized by those in power to go after their political opponents.

No. Absolutely not. If anything they're too timid to go after criminals just because it might appear political.

Bannon received a subpoena, and he did not do what it required of him. Open and shut case. The jury decided in under three hours, including a lunch break.

Nobody is being prosecuted for having unpopular opinions, they're being investigated and prosecuted for breaking laws. Interfering with the duties of government is illegal. Hitting police officers is illegal. Breaking and entering is illegal. Forging official documents is illegal. Conspiring with others to do those things is illegal, too. People don't ask for pardons for things they never did.

Bringing frivolous lawsuits will merely get lawyers struck off.

A large part of the Republican party has become what the phrase "foreign or domestic" was created to recognise.

It's one thing to say "this happened, and that was a bad thing we should not let happen again", and another to say "I believe this might have happened, although I only have theories, no evidence, so throw out millions of votes cast in good faith".

Oh, that's a surprisingly short video. The difference with Clapper and Brennan is probably because they weren't referred to the DoJ for prosecution, for political reasons. Both of them were almost certainly doing what the president wanted and not trying to overthrow a democratic election.

Trump was in office and blatantly tried to direct the DOJ on a daily basis. From claiming that Jeff Sessions should not had recused himself from the Mueller probe. And he roasted Sessions' nuts every single day for his decision.

Then Barr came along and virtually did his bidding right up until the election, when Barr assured the public that this was the most secure election in history.

Then of course, Trump roasted Barr's nuts.

When Biden meddles in the affairs of the DOJ, I will give a care. Until then, see ya.

It's all good. All they did is set legal precedent for federal subpoenas. Now it will be used against them by Durham. It was a blunder on their part. In chess we call it a gambit... A gambit is an opening in which a player sacrifices material with the aim of achieving a subsequent positional advantage. The amount of pain their move will bring them is astronomical. Not everything should be taken at face value. Learn to read the board.

Go back and watch his war room reports for the past several weeks. At some point he said something along the lines of he would gladly sacrifice himself for this country if need be. Then during the press conference outside the courthouse he said I challenge Benny Thomson to have the courage to come to this courthouse. If he’s going to charge someone with a crime, he’s got to be man enough to show up or send someone like Shifty Schiff or Fang Fang Swalwell or send Liz Cheny send somebody from the committee that has the guts to come here and accuse somebody of a crime. He’s goading them into the trap. He wants to get a perjury charge against one of the deep state's goons. What he is saying is his only regret is that they didn’t sacrifice material like Adam Schiff the "shfity knight"… With their move Q’s team got position, but they also wanted blood. Now that positioning will be exploited by other pieces like John Durham. It's like playing a Queen's Gambit Declined. Either way you can play and win...

Bannon was subpoenaed by Congress and was legally required to respond. He did not. Consequently he was properly charged with contempt of Congress and convicted.
