I've had 5 of them. I'd have to say the worst part of it is having to drink like a gallon (?) of this nasty tasting liquid stuff you have to drink. You drink 1/2 the night before and the other half in the morning before you go to get the test. It's to clean you out so the doctor has to have your colon empty so he can see any diseases or abnormalities.
When I had mine, you had to drink the whole thing the night before and I would be up all night trying to drink it because it's a lot!
The problem with drinking it 1/2 and 1/2 is that you probably won't get cleaned out completely and they cannot do the procedure. You'll have to make another appointment and do it all over again.

Two people I know have had to go back again 3 months later but didn't go back.

I woke up during one of them and it hurt so bad I was screaming 😱

I had endoscopy. But when I come home, I will also have both colonoscopy and capsule endoscopy.

I am having one tomorrow. I have had only one before about 10 years ago, and I remember I had trouble downing all the liquid I was told to drink. However it looked like it was a lot more, like 2 liters of this stuff. This time it is only 1 16 oz bottle in the evening and one 16 oz bottle tomorrow morning. I gagged the first time as I was so full of it, ao they told me I could stop and just do my best. I hope yours went well.

yes. Depending on which prep protocol you are doing, the prep is horrific. The procedure is easy peasy.

Nah, I went the cologuard way since I don't have a history of colon cancer in my family.

Yes, two times, but I was under anesthesia, sleeping, so it didn't hurt at all.
