Question about appointment with PCP?

So I’m sick and tired of having “ED” I can’t seem to get going. Like this for two years. My primary is a woman. I don’t know how to tell her this. Not trying to make anyone uncomfortable but just sick of not being able to have sex. What would you say if you were in my shoes?

Well, it seems to me you have a choice.

• Tell her, and don't worry about embarrassment
• Don't tell her, and continue to have problems

She's a doctor; I'm sure she's heard worse, before. It happens. She's not there to judge you; she's there to help you.

If it was happening to me, I'd tell her, so that I could resolve the issue. Which is more important to you: momentary shame (that she won't even care about), or never being able to have sex again?

That's a pretty easy choice, if you ask me.

If she's any good at her job, as a PCP, she'll actually ask you if you have problems getting an erection, especially with a patient in his forties. If she doesn't, tell her you are
