The respectful and accurate term is simply transgender or trans woman/man, depending on their gender identity.

Medical procedures don’t change the core identity, the person’s self identification does.

Labels should honor dignity, not reduce someone to their anatomy or choices.

Respect is in recognition, not in shorthand.
