Girls, I am preop transwoman & the Dr mentioned using a speculum in a relatively simple procedure they're going to have to do, I'm scared, any advice?

Well, I went for the pre-op exam, and they showed it to me, and how it worked again (still didn't help) and I got to lay there looking at it. Luckily they didn't need it as the issue was more external.

Stirrups were definitely awkward, though.

It comes with the territory hun. You just gotta put be brave, lay still, and just let them do what needs to be done. Maybe when it's over you might even see it as affirming or something. Good luck on your transition though.

I wish I were... It's been an 8 month ordeal with multiple incompetent Drs until I finally even found one who would even acknowledge I had a problem then to tell me if we don't take care of it it's liable to kill me
