A girl from another office sat in and broke a metal leg chair. What is going to happen to our society this kind of obesity scales me?

The girl was probably in excess of 350 pounds. John Candy was at 375 pounds when he died at age 43. He should have been in a hospital instead of working in film. U. S. society seems to just ignore this or minimalize it as a health problem.

Our President is too damned fat, and I like the man, but he is simply a part of the obesity problem. Why cannot HE set an example?

If you look at how regular people ate 100 years ago there seems to be a hell of a lot of cake being eaten on a daily basis. Then there's 101 things to make with oats. Pretty much everything is high calories and salad doesn't seem to be a thing. Yet you rarely see a fat person in a photo. Look at any crowd or street photo for each eta and it's not until the 80s that you see fat people en masse.

Trump looks like he lost some weight during the Biden administration. I actually think he got in shape for the campaign. However, Americans are way too fat. I spend a lot of time at the beach in the summer. I do not see too many people who are in shape. Even at the gym there are plenty of overweight people there.

Kids do not get enough exercise and neither do adults.

Overeating is just one of many symptoms to what is wrong with society. The "disease" is laziness. People are too lazy to care about others or even themselves and instead just indulge on whatever they feel like at the moment. Food, online-attention (which can be achieved through numerous unhealthy things), sex, drugs, and so many other things.

@egan3141 I agree, but it is a terrible mess to see, and it bothers me to see others allow themselves to do that to the detriment of their own health and life.

@egan3141 I try to be an example for those around me, and my peers, and luckily, most or many do that and try to stay fairly lean and fit to enjoy a better life.
