You said "i lose touch with reality". You didn't mention that you permanently lost it. But have you? You can find how to reduce length and frequency of these losses. Probably some heavy physical labor does it? ㅤ
You’re right about heavy labor.
Objectively, it's not okay, in the sense that after all it is an illness. However, if it's not messing up your life, and you're not feeling a lot of depression or anxiety, and you're sleeping okay, and you're not having a lot of physical symptoms, then it's probably ok for you. As to the opinions of other people? I would not listen to them. It's not their problem, and it's none of their business. Many uneducated or poorly educated people think they are mental health experts, and they are not.
You nailed it 👍🏻. This is going to sound ridiculous, but I kinda like the label mentally ill, it makes me feel special. I see the world differently than others.
While being mentally ill is not something I would say is ok, it shouldn't be frowned upon if you have a mental illness especially if you're getting treated for it and trying to get better. I have it as well and I have gotten treated for it and am much better than what I was.
I’m happy for you and may peace follow you.
Thank you and same for you as well!
Is that a trick question? If not, my answer is no. Of course, it's not ok for anyone to be mentally ill.
What if they can’t change it, even with medicine?

Yes of course it is, remove the mental from that sentence for a moment. Is it ever ok to get the flu? Obviously there is nothing wrong if you get the flu, but you then need the right tools to heal. With flu thats often bed rest, sometimes some medicine and in extreme cases a hospital.
Same here, we all have days we aren't doing so well. Most of the time most of us can get over those on our own. But if you got that version that needs some medicine or even a hospital then grant yourself those tools. Because its obviously going to be something you can improve and its not a situation you should aim to stay in.
But we all have our things we got to deal with, and if that is your mind right now then grant yourself the mercy of dealing with it.
Thank you very much for your kind words. May peace be with you.
You're not living a normal life if you're suffering from psychosis, even though it feels normal to you. Fortunately effective treatments for psychosis are available but I won't pretend they don't have adverse effects. Whether or not you seek treatment is entirely up to you, so long as you're not any danger to yourself or others.
As long as you don’t do bad things and screw people over and hurt them but that’s not something you want to strive for. Your goal Should be to overcome your mental illness and live a normal life
On that last part, I don’t know how to do that. A big part of me likes believing I’m in a dream.
In the world the way it is , if a mental illness get on your medical history it could effect your ability to find a good job. The idea that your records cannot be accessed by prospective employer is a fairy tale.
You make a good point only I’ve been employed at my current job 2.5 years. Also, I think the employer would need a warrant to see psychiatric records. They don’t let just anyone look at them.
Do you know of any way to stop it? I mean, if you're mentally il, you're mentally ill!! End of story!!
It is what it is.
Why did you become like this?
It wasn’t by choice.
What brought you to this state?
God spoke to me through a movie and let me know that my world isn’t real and I have to wake up somehow.
Did you harm people if you're saying this is a disease?
I haven’t hurt anyone and don’t plan to.
Then you're not sick. Were you forcibly taken to the hospital by the state?
Are you a doctor?
I'm not. Do you think everyone who's involved in diplomacy is a doctor? Fraudsters, out of spite and ego, fabricate false reports and spread misinformation, violating rights.
I only asked because you said I’m not sick.
