Do you take a shower every day?

Question

In summer i shower every day but in winter i shower every 2 days and rarely in 3 days

When i tell that to people or when i see someone on social Media saying something like that people are so disgusted which i dont understand why?

And by the way in between shower days i wash my private parts and parts where daily sweat is normal like feet and underarms but i dont shower every day

Do y'all shower every day? I dont know why people act like you get that dirty in one day if you dont workout or something

It's best not to share your shower habits with others if you don't take a shower every day, because the truth is, most people are sheep and will shame you with no logic behind their shaming.

Study after study has shown that showers every day are not necessary unless you're sweating a lot each day. Water and scrubbing is sufficient to remove the sweat, dirt, and oil on your body if you're not extremely dirty.

Believe it or not, soap and shampoo are not even necessary either... only for odor prone areas, like the groin and under the arms.

Skipping daily full body soaping can prevent dry, itchy and irritated skin by preserving your body's natural oils and healthy bacteria (your microbiome).

You could say all of these facts to people and the sheep would just say something like "Eww you must smell like shit a lot of the time." But it's those same people who can't tell the difference when you've showered or not, unless you used some scented soap or shampoo.

They can't even fathom the fact that what they've been doing isn't necessarily the healthiest practice and they'll shame anyone else because that's what they were taught. They can't imagine that showers only started to become common in the 1930s and 1950s. For millennia before that, humans lived as they were meant to. We didn't need to shower 24/7. No animal does. Don't get me wrong though. There were many factors that affected a people having shorter lifespans back then. Healthcare wasn't as great. People died from minor infections due to no antibiotics and lost their teeth earlier because most people didn't have dentists and all the technology we have nowadays. And as I said, soap and showering your odor prone areas is a must if you don't want to smell, so their odor was definitely worse back then than it is now. But showering daily is not necessary.

So again... my advice is to let the sheep think what they want and live your life by your terms with knowledge you have. Don't share your habits with others unless they're open minded.

Unless I have to be at work at five in the morning, I must shower I just don't feel clean down there if I don't clean my nude man/women body.

Ty for speaking up. Yes, here comes gross, disgusting, pig girl to say sometimes in winter I don't shower except maybe twice a week. And in winter I don't even change my pink, flannel jammies everyday as I try to hibernate. Yes, I'm a total slob in winter and I really don't care! 🤣

And all our ancestors seem to have managed to survive without showering everyday. But maybe they smelled bad. I dunno.

I honestly don't think it's necessary especially in winter unless you are working out a lot. On those days, definitely shower afterwards but other than that it's not necessary to shower every single day. My skin feels great and looks great because I don't.

It’s just part of my daily routine , I don’t even think in terms of is it justified or not , am I sweaty or not it’s just easier to do it.

I shower before going to bed every night , the only exception being when I’m incredibly tired / too drunk / traveling over 24 hours , these are rare though and sometimes I additionally shower in the morning 😉😉

As long as people are generally hygiene conscious , I see no issue in showering every second day or whatever , it’s certainly more economical and environmentally responsible

I shower every day, and nobody would be able to convince me to leave the house without one.

I have oily skin, and back before I started shaving my head, oily hair, as well. If I don't shower, then I just feel grimy and disgusting all day. Having a day's worth of grease on my body is just icky feeling, to me.

Showering less in winter is understandable and not necessarily gross. If you make sure you're not dirty or carry a bad odor with you, it's fine to only shower every other day. Washing yourself with a wash cloth is good to do before bed or after waking up, when you don't shower every day as you say you already do.
