West Virginia National Guard Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe was shot in the head and survived.

The attack happened in November 2025.

It might be both, I'm not sure about it but I know statistically women have a higher chance of surviving gunshot wounds, it's from what I heard biologically just as physically related which I wouldn't be surprised if genetics can have some form of advantage, like how hormones and specific things women are used too helps with the physical and mental trauma of getting a gunshot wound mostly when we know abnormal genetic mutations are possible, even in the slightest ways can make a difference.
