Does anyone else like the smell of burning wood?

Get yourself some incense loban cups, i don't know how expensive they are in America but it is available for extremely cheap price in India. You actually are supposed to use it as incense stick, but you know how smoke sticks well to things right? Like how cigarette smoke sticks forever? Loban smells like slightly sweet medicinal burning wood and it smokes really well like cigarettes in incense cups. You take your clothes and try to get as much smoke on it as you can, if you have long hair then you can do use it like bakhoor too. The smells stays for the whole day and it isn't very heavy.

Bakhoor also works really well and stays for long periods but it doesn't have heavy burning wood smell, it is more medicinal and flowery scented.

So I'm suppose to sit by the incense for like an hour to have the smell linger on my clothes for no more than 2 hours, sounds like a bad plan not gonna lie 😂

You don't have to sit by the incense for more than 5 mins, and the smell lingers on your clothes until you wash them or at least for whole day.

My country doesn't have enough budget to feed everyone so few of them hungry people spend their lives making incense stick and have mastered the art of it and sell them at extremely cheap rate because all the aunts here like a nice bargain at the cost of someone else's survival.

No. But when I owned my own house, I had a huge fireplace and hearth all around it.
I used to sit in front of my fireplace in my rocking chair for hours. My dog sat right next to me so I guess he liked it too.🙂

My parents added a wood-burning stove to the living room a few years ago (relaxed legislation) and, depending on the wood type burning, it can smell really nice and cosy.

When I was a teenager at my campground, the workers had one that they showed no windows or nothing but just big big black doors it put out good heat, but that was about it

Yeah, in old buildings they were just functional (as primary heat source); in a modern house with gas heating or heat pump, they are mostly decorative.

I like it much more in summer around camp fires than in winter since a woodstove is our only source of heat and we have a small house and by spring the entire place, me, my sweetie, the cat, the dog , all our clothes and prolly a couple squirrels that ran by too close just reek more of charcoal than the "pleasant aroma of woodsmoke" that everyone imagines and I so look forward to spring just to air the whole place out and so I can soak in the river for about a week.

Yes, except for the part where your clothes end up smelling like smoke for staying near the fire too long. If you like that smell you’d probably like the smell of redwood trees, that’s an even better smell.
