What does it actually feel like to break a bone?

Alright guys, weird question time. I’ve luckily never broken a bone myself, but I’ve seen it happen to so many people around me. I’m honestly dying to know—what does it actually feel like? 🤣 Can anyone who’s been through it describe the sensation🙂?

I broke my wrist last summer. it was not a bad break. I fell down on it. It was sore for a week or so and I decided to see the doc. I had it x-rayed and sure enough, it was broken. It did not hurt all tht much except when I would lift something heavy.

There is a split second of intense, cold electricity before the real aching pain sets in. I broke multiple bones in a car accident, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Don't let anyone tell you any difference. It hurts like hell to break bones. I should know I have had enough of them broken.

Wouldn't know as I've never broken a bone in my life (knock on wood). The reason I am posting though is because my youngest brother has brittle bone disease (osteogenesis imperfecta) and would break bones constantly. He eventually got to a point where he either never noticed it (because he was already in pain from something else) or just ignored it until it became an issue.

I remember once me and both my brothers were throwing a football in the yard and he caught it wrong and broke his finger and he just looked at it and said, "yep that's broke" and the game just kinda ended after a few more throws. He says his most painful break was either his ribs because he couldn't breathe after, his orbital bone cause he was accidentally kicked in the face and fractured the bone, or when his clavicle broke after slipping on ice. Fingers and leg bones don't seem to bother him much at this point.
