How does to feels to have your arms fractured?

Well today morning while cycling my sister fell down as she does knows cycling and her arms was fractured badly. She got plaster.

How much does it pains and how it feels like? How to give relief to people having fractures and what to do to not make them feel bad about having an injured arm and to make them happy?

No, I have never experienced this. However, I am sure the pain would be terrible, unbearable.

Well from what my sister said. She felt more discomfort than pain. Like a discomfort type of pain.

Sorry to hear that. If the Plaster has already been applied, pain will reduce and by tomorrow it probably will not be there.

You say cycling so im guessing that’s a Mountain bike.

I’ve fallen off my motorcycle going 36 mph and I didn’t break anything or fracture anything. Just had some bruises and Some cut skin.

Actually handle fell over her hand. Otherwise she was all fine. Doctor said her bones are weak though and other reason is her bones are not strong yet because of her age too.

When I broke my arm/wrist really badly it was just a quick shock and then numbness. It didn't really bother me too much.

Worst part about it, is that I broke my arm at like 10 AM in the morning and it was so bad that I had to wait until midnight for a specific specialist that could handle it properly. So I sat in a hospital for 14 hours to see a doctor bored out of my mind and by the time he set my bones back in place I just wanted to go home and go to sleep.

That's really bad and annoying. Like wasting a whole day just for something like this.

Yep, but at least my arm still works. I had fallen out of a tree from like 40 or 50 feet in the canopy due to a slip from wet shoes and my wrist landed right on a ficus root. The rest of the forest floor was covered in like 2 feet of leaves so the fall didn't even hurt. I was on an island so I had to swim across a river with a broken arm... lol I think I was 12 or 13 at the time.

If the leaves were not there I'd probably be dead. If my head hit a root I'd probably be dead. Sitting around wasn't too bad in retrospect, but at an invincible little kid I didn't like it one bit.

yikes that sucks. i never fractured anything but i'd imagine the pain is immense! hope our sis has a speedy recovery!

I've fractured my ankle i never went too the doctor that shit hurt a lot felt like, where I messed it up, it was burning and throbbing and the part that was messed up was hot its definitely not a good feeling and I was still walking on it til this day if I move it a certain way i can still feel a pain on it

Yes, when she feel down my dad rushed to her but she said she was all right and not injured. I noticed that the shape of her arm was weird so my dad went back home from garden getting ready for hospital. After few minutes of falling down she started screaming miserably. She wasn't crying but making screams as if she was frustrated and in discomfort. On the way to hospital when we discovered that the doctor didn't reached yet she started crying and stopped after 20 mins. I can only join imagine how much painful it was.

Yes she is prescribed painkillers, calcium capsules and fast recovery medicines.

Yea it's not good, when I messed up my ankle it was inflated for a good couple weeks and the day it happend I was walking on it because I hurt it crack really loud but I didn't know yet I was walking on it I had too walk on it until I got home it wasn't that bad (because I have a high pain tolerance) but when my adrenaline went down I felt it but I've been through worse I knew I was gonna be alright
