(I did ask my doctor what to avoid doing but she said to not put overload my back/spine) but other than that what is some helpful tips to ensure quick and effective recovery?

Trending & News My ribs. Cracked two of them during COVID. Couldn't do too much, just had to deal with the pain. Physical activity went to zero save for work since it involved picking up and moving shit, hurt like hell to breathe l. Mitigated it with breathing through nose and strong painkillers.
It will suck man, but my advice is to pull back on the gym until the fracture gets cleared up for heavier duty. Lots of rest and limited motion that affects the area itself.
Tsk… damn. Well the pain has significantly dropped down. At the worst 2 weeks ago it was a 10 on a 1-10 scale.
Now it’s down to a 1-2 honestly
I can relate. When I broke my rib I didn't know for several days and every false movement resulted in pain like a knife attack. I had to learn to sleep on my back quickly.
Well, that's great to hear it has gone down, but I would say follow up with the doc. Independence the mistake hopping back at shit when I felt good but really wasn't ready and setting back progress I made recovery wise.
Ouch 😬 Not an expert but I’d think you’ll wanna take it pretty easy for a while.
Broken a few fingers, somehow that’s been it so far. Lots of concussions, muscle tears, etc but haven’t broken much

You might want to go swimming twice a week. You get a nice full-muscle workout without any gravity pulling on your spine.
3 ribs on my lower left side.
Not much you can do about that.
Isometrics, comfrey and DMSO. Read up on all three.
Go to physical therapy to get better info
