Who had a kindey stone?

End of last year I had a kidney stone blast and had x rays every couple weeks since. I had a big chunk lodged up there that won't come down. My dr told me yesterday that I need a lazor surgery now. If he knew it was still to big after the blast then why didn't he just lazor it after since im still out and in the operating room?

My father used to get one every even numbered year. If it was an even numbered year we knew he would have a kidney stone. They are supposed to be hereditary but so far so good.

Well I had Deep Vein Thrombosis a decade ago, and that plus a kidney stone times abscessed teeth don't stack up to the pain of feet neurosis.

I didn't Had a kidney stone. I HAVE kidney stones in each of my kidneys.

I've had them twice but it was decades ago.
Both were on the right side. They felt like an excruciating ache in my right lower abdomen, like a sharp stick being poked from the inside.
The pain was sometimes enough to make me nauseous.

The first one passed quickly. I didn't even know what it was. The pain just went away after a few hours.

I went to the doctor for the second one. They X-rayed me and said it was a kidney stone stuck in my ureter. They shot me up with Demerol and the pain disappeared. They told me to pee through a sieve to see if I could catch it to have it analyzed.

That one didn't pass quickly. I went to guy who was a doctor of chiropractic, Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine. He gave me herbs to make tea. He also said that when the pain was intense, I should fill the bathtub with water as warm as I could bear and sit in it. That bathtub trick was a miracle. The pain would disappear instantly.
Unfortunately, I had to work and couldn't sit in the bathtub all the time, so I spent several days bearing the pain.

The stone finally passed through my ureter and into my bladder, the pain disappeared and I peed it out. It was the size of a grain of sand with sharp edges. I think they said it was mostly calcium.

When I was young, my dad had to have a kidney stone surgically removed. It was about the size of a.22 caliber bullet (bullet, not cartridge). But it was like a jagged stone, not smooth.
