Problem #1 is easily feminism. Feminism told girls to get on birth control in their mid to late teens and stay on it throughout the time in their life when they are at their most attractive and fertile. On top of that, they were told to go out and get big high-stress corporate jobs, which also has an effect on their fertility. And it told them to wait until their late 20s and early 30s to think about marriage, all the while being loaded with all sorts of propaganda, whether subtle or overt, about men being trash. And no matter how you spin it, a core element of feminism has always on the natural level been resentment of men, or at least a mistrust of them.
Basically, it's told them that the most beautiful and magnificent part about them, that being their ability to grow and feed a human life with their bodies, and having a significant role in the moral formation of a child...of the next generation... is somehow a burden or that it's not prestigious or that it doesn't contribute to society in a significant way.
And because of all that, men and women hate each other and are arguably less equal now than before feminism.
That's one reason.
Another is we are a very distracted culture. We're glued to our phones and binge watching shows on streaming platforms. We've got music going all the time. We don't spend anywhere near enough time in silence to reflect on who we are, why we're doing what we're doing, or what we want out of life and why.
And third, probably because of how our food is made, what it's made with, and even to a degree, how it's packaged. How much plastic do you think is in the average person's reproductive system?
Feminism, especially in First World countries, has changed the roles of women. Previously, a woman's main role was to have and care for children. Now, many women prefer a career.
Sexuality has also changed. Previously, same-sex relationships were rare. Now, they are much more common. Same-sex relationships cannot produce offspring.
Thanks for MHO.
It's because in modern civilized societies today women have removed themselves from the old barefoot and pregnant theme and have slowed down on casual sex, have become more insistent on protected sex by either the male or her using pills or devices. Also young women are finding many more great opportunities for super careers and opt for that instead of just being a wife and mom.
We do still have areas where women are having many more kids than they should as they have no way to support them, no male in the picture after the pregnancy for help and quickly become a taxpayer burden on us.
Basically losing the right to have an abortion has also changed the female mind about sex and many either hold off or go same sex relationships finding out they aren't so bad and continue for life without ever popping out a kid.
@katiesmuff
Is this good or bad?
I wouldn't say it is good by any means!
Birth rate can now be a choice and having and raising children is labor intensive and costly. 100 years ago it was still labor intensive, but you had children to help at home and on farms and with chores.
With people not staying near parents and grandparents the costs have gone up for parents to raise children. Having more than one or two children is not practical Also divorce was uncommon except among the very wealthy. It's difficult to co parent four children between two households.
It's not that women have fabulous career choices. But being a homebound parent is just one of several choices, when before there was no choice at all.

Attitudes have changed. In the 1950's building a family was sometimes left to chance, The advent of birth control pills in the late 60's gave individuals a choice to conceive or not. Due to the economic ease of post Korean war life. Families were willing to conceive because all you had to do is show up for work every day, do what youjr supervisor said and your continued employment was guaranteed. Someone making Minimum wage, Got health insurance and life insurance, and raises based on performance. Prior to 1980 divorces happened but not frequently. The ME generation occurred and the move away from anything that did not benefit self directly followed. Marriages stopped being a team effort and developed into something akin to Separate but Living Together. Individual Checking Accounts developed and trust plummeted. Having Children became a Huge risk. The likelihood of a couple staying together was nill. Child Support destroyed many lives. Extramarital affairs soared. Women came into their own around 1990. It was easier to have a child and support it yourself than to risk a marriage and all the legal complications associated with a divorce. Since outside affairs were a given, it usually caused tempers to flair, which when witnessed by the children, caused mental problems which we are witnessing today. No one wants a relationship like Mom and Dads. So many of our children avoid it by choosing an alternate lifestyle that produces not kids.
Once children were seen as a blessing, now they are seen as a burden.
First, they let just any old drunk vote, then they just stopped actually counting votes honestly. They knew that you knew it was a bad idea, dumb politicians and their dire consequences can just be blamed on a dumb voting block. Therefore they’ve just been choosing puppet politicians and throw us propaganda.
Now, more recently, disneyization (the 90% chase the top 10 - chronically single alpha widows - the paradox of choice women are overwhelmed by the illusion of infinite possibilities), birth control, the cc, multi-generational fatherlessness, welfare, DEI, social media/online dating, smart phones, video games, and easily accessible free porn.
And finally, why? We are living in an era experiencing a profound existential crisis. If we are all here by accident then why bring kids into this giant accident that is currently in an ever increasingly violent ideological global war? The young are rejecting the philosophies religions and cultures of their forefathers for the black pills of nihilism and narcissism.
Oh, and they still haven’t made family court any better for dads yet, except in Kentucky.
What’d I miss? Microplastics in food products air and water contributing to the decrease of total and free testosterone in men - which also negatively impacts their fertility and sex drive.
Because the world , our futures unstable , nobody knows where we're going or headed to everybody , has the feelng of unsureness
And when this happens, we're not in control of our destiny, we're under the thumb of our great leaders. (FUCK THEM) not great they are greedy evil leaders. \n It's a manipulation. That went wrong. And people are waking up and are saying Iwill suffer i will sacrifice.\nMy happiness , by not bringing a child into this world. So they can use them and destroy them like they are doing to us
Women want casual sex without getting casual kids. But also because people are more conscientious about having them in today's increasingly dark and hectic world. They don't want to be like their moms and dads or grandparents who had kids and then messed them up.
Having kids is also more costly. Most of today's generation are still trying to figure out where they're really going in their lives or trying to reach a more stable place where they can enjoy life, not have to think about raising kids when they're still trying to raise themselves.
Social and lifestyle changes, economic pressures, and environmental changes are all contributing factors. Without major policy changes like affordable childcare, housing reform, and work-life balance improvements, fertility rates will continue to fall.
i feel like people have somehow tied up social issues with scientific issues
feminism has not reduced fertility. the statement alone, a personal belief system someone has leads to reduced fertility should make our heads explode
there's a lot of things out there... I've read a lot recently that the introduction of plastics and microplastics is believed to have a lot to do with it. plastics have toxic materials in them. our food is stored and packaged in plastic. microplastics can get into our foods so we can literally be consuming toxins
also the rise of super processed foods has been attributed to lowered fertility rates.
it should also be noted that by in large fertility issues typically stem from the male rather than the female. the rate of sperm production in the average male today is exponentially lower than the rates of sperm production and thus sperm county 20-30 years ago.
Multiple reasons.
Number one, it's a natural result of urbanization. People just tend to have less kids when a culture urbanizes.
Number two, people are less likely to view children as a benefit and more likely to view them as a burden. They try less hard.
Number three, a lot of the kids that are conceived get aborted. In New York, the most dangerous place for a black person is in his own mother's womb, because the black rate of abortion is so high. A third of the entire Generation Z is missing.
Number four, people make it hard to conceive because of birth control. It's become the standard to only have kids when you plan for it. But because we cannot force it to happen, it doesn't happen as often.
Number five, the hormone disrupting effects of so many of our products that we eat and put on our skin reduce fertility and increase genetic mutation.
If you put all those together and it's a cocktail for drastic birth rate loss.
Well...
Like rats, humans have begun destroying themselves with success and overpopulation. The good old days of growing our way out of our problems are over.
Bro… we literally have the technology right now to start mining and colonizing the asteroid belt.
@MikeMcMansion ,
Maybe in your delusions bro. There have been exactly zero manned missions to any planet, planetoid, moon or asteroid other than the Earth's moon. And the last moon landing happened December 11, 1972. Why? The cost vs the benefits. It was a huge resource sinkhole to send 3 guys to the moon for a few days. 240,000 miles. They accomplished nothing of note other than getting there and getting back. Now you think humans are ready to inhabit the asteroid belt 100 - 200 million miles away. Using chemical rockets. And carrying all the equipment needed to set up a civilization in low gravity in darkness. Apparently you are the one Heaven's Gate cult member who missed the comet.
There are roughly 100,000 man made satellites in orbit over your head right now. What did they tell Columbus when he wanted to circumnavigate the planet? Not enough money, with wind sails?
Cause the cost to rise kids from day they're born to 18 years old is too expensive and we are being nickel and dim everywhere we turn. a lot of people want to have kids later in life these days. And if you have a kid who has special needs it's even more costly. there probably more reasons that I'm not sure about.
Well I’m sure a dumpy looking rich guy would’ve wifed you.
Not if he’s dumpy looking or some broken reclusive combat veteran or something… i’m just saying you probably passed up a good chance you’re getting up there in age like me, you probably had a shot or two with a decent guy who would’ve loved ya and gave you kids and who had money
A lot of people got the Covid jabs that cause miscarriages and sterility.
But a lot of people may be deliberately refraining from having kids due to the cost of living and the state of the world. My wife and I did.
I feel sorry for kids growing up these days.
The controls put on people by governments and our hidden masters who rule governments, such as vaccines and the push for genetically modified food, with the manufacturers, in effect, supported by governments.
I have LOVED being pinned down on the bed (ok, bed not wall !) by my best female friend/regular sexual partner while she AND her girlfriend have taken turns in lowering their lovely moist vsgina slits down on my pointing straight upwards verrrry hard cock and taken every drxual inch of it (7.2" in total) all the way inside them !
The wall sounds an interesting sexual option !!
I think it is due to some environmental factor, perhaps food additives or excessive vaccines. And also societal issues. people are marrying later in life and are not having children as fast as in the past. Some elect not to have children at all. Families with 5 or 6 kids were commonplace in the 60s and 70s but they are rare in todays world except for welfare recipients who get more money from the government the more kids that they have. It is reverse Darwinism.
a lot of young women would rather get a tattoo and have sex than get pregnant these days it seems , some also want to wait till they get older thing is women often aren't as attractive when they get older so it can be harder to find a partner than when they were 19 and crazy good looking , not that older women aren't still attractive just not as easy to generate interest as it was when younger and they had bigger social circles and more options
I asked Google cause I don't know.
Global fertility rates in 2026 are at historic lows, driven by severe economic pressures, rising costs of child-rearing, increased female empowerment/education, and environmental anxiety. This trend is continuing due to changing societal norms, reduced desire for large families, and a widening gap between the desire for children and the financial/structural ability to support them.
Google spouts nonsense. Increased female control over their own fertility is a contributor. The rest: we have never been richer, the rising cost of child-rearing is endogenous (higher incomes plus fewer children = expectations that more is spent on child-rearing), and you can count the number of people forgoing child-rearing due to environmental concerns on one hand... okay, not literally, but it's at most 0.01 on the TFR here or there. Almost every country on Earth is experiencing the same trend.
@MrChinaski Your guess is as good as google. lol
@wonderingmanii That's not true. But I''ve given up on bothering on GaG.
@MrChinaski Whatever information you have comes from somewhere, which means you got to put faith in that source. I got no idea where you are getting your information from and therefor no better reason to believe it than google. I know for a fact that there have been times when I needed to learn how to do something, and google put me in contact with the information I needed to get that task done. Which means google is right at least some of the time. But here on GAG nothing really matters. People just plop down opinions and more onto the next thing.
because 8 billion is more than enough...
@NathanDavis
Elon did explain it once and he was right.
In next 20-30 yr this 8 billion peak will take a deep dive, and decrease very fast
yeah but... Elon also said you would have their latest Tesla, flying taxis, underground pods transportation and trips to Mars...
but instead... AI groks is undressing girls without consent so...
always take it with a grain of salt, what any Tech Guru tells you... especially from those who make their net worth... about speculation
Elon has dozens of offspring
@MikeMcMansion more than he has Teslas
A few main reasons. There are no incentives to having kids these days other than a tax credit, couple dont know how to raise kids or where to put their priorities which end up in a divorce when then over generations that becomes the expected outcome, Relationships themselves are nothing like they should be. Too much negative media influence which effects the dynamic of the relationship that also effects ones desire to even have kids.
Most people are so busy with managing life and work that they rarely calm down enough for any meaningful lovemaking (procreation). 🤔🤷♂️
When it is a coin toss of divorce in 8 years if I marry and have 1.8 kiddies, why am I going to do that?
The answer is that, as I am sentient, I am not.
It isn't.
Fertility rates are lower only in Western countries. Mainly due to poor diet, poor cultural values, and lack of family orientation.
Perhaps we are doing a better job of making contraception readily available. And, at least in the US, people are waiting later to get married.
The conspiracy theorist in me thinks it is by design by the powers that be. They more or less control the food chain, so slipping certain compounds into it in order to damage sperm production should not be too difficult.
Kill the competition, get rid of the useless eaters. The billionaire that said this at the world economic forum was an Epstein fan
We have 8 billion plus people in the world and growing.
Fertility rates are still high very high.
Tomorrow literally can disappear 25 million people in the U. S and it won't be noticeable at all.
Because women world-wide are subscribing to the abortion doctrine and simply murdering their own children. That's the God's honest truth.
Women are choosing to have less children later in life
I guess women aren't successful at attracting mates.
Children are expensive, plutocracy is raising across the world, the economy is crap due to corrupt politicians & ultra rich people bribing politicians to manipulate it to their will.
Parenthood isn't valued the way it used to be.
Two is fine! People don’t need more than two children. And the world population is too big anyway. We need less people, not more.
Do you have any reference links to support this question?
@whatisyourzodiac sure, and there are more proofs on google.
www.imf.org/.../the-debate-over-falling-fertility-david-bloom
Very interesting... It's not goood actually... The average fertility rate must be around 2.2 ... Maybe people really don't want to have kids as much as our ancestors because of the kind of world we live in
Hey Patrick
The world is a fucking mess. Why bring more souls into it?
Microplastics, Climate Change, Devices In Our Pockets, and Other Factors.
Good, maybe the planet will not go to shit if we get down to about a billion people
The pill. Abortion. Plan B. Less attractive women.
gee, if only we could point to something that happened within the past 5 years.
Rampant degeneracy
And the elites are all pedophiles or cowards defending pedophiles. They don’t believe that doing what’s right is worth dying for, they just wanna keep living with their money.
? What else…oh and common folk are more often than degenerates themselves?
We need Jesus
Unfortunately it is still way too high in many places.
People are poorer, the smart ones know were overpopulated and no one wants to supply the Epsteinians anymore
Like in China, the one child policy, and the dying rooms, sooo based
As women become educated, they become less likely to view themselves mere baby mahines.
Obviously it's because of the COVID shots that so many people ignorantly received. And infertility is only ONE of the problems that these particular people have had
WeThePatriotsUSA could use everyone's support
Men changed the lifestyle and health habits that’s lower the quality of cum! It’s high time men should care of it more otherwise it goes more low!
Best guess is it’s food related. In some of the western countries I would say lack of personal interaction plays a role also.
Depends on the continents, it's high in Africa.
It is. But it is also falling sharply in Africa.
This is due to feminism, and is just another example of how feminism is destroying society.
Poor health and bad economies
Poor diet id guess
Economy. not in 3rd world countries.
Feminism
It is?
