Seriously though, I'd try to survive as long as possible. If, after at least several months with no one attempting to rescue me, I'd probably do what Tom Hanks did in Cast Away, build a raft and get off the island and hope a ship finds me.

You can build shelter and you can capture water even in the desert. And find food.

It would depend on my age and health. If under 50, I will try to survive. If I were 80, I would not have the energy or motivation to try.
