If you've smoked ordinary marijuana AND sinsemilla, is there a difference in the actual smoking of them?

I was just thinking about the two times I tried grass back in the early ``90's and al it did was burn my throat and I was wondering if Sinse would be a smoother smoke or the same? I have no intention of trying it, I was just wondering if that would've made a difference.
I'm not even 100% sure that's the name of the stuff I'm thinking of. I was hanging out at my guitarist's place one night when a friend showed up with this weird looking grass that looked like pine needles but a more vibrant green. I tried rolling a joint for them and they said I was pretty good at it so, I rolled up the rest for them. Even though it looks like pine needles, the more you handle it, the more doughy it gets and it kinda sticks to your fingers. I've never seen that before or since and, being in the band for 25 years and my brother at his grass parties at the house, I've seen LOTS of grass over the decades!!
Anyway, it's the pine needle looking stuff I was wondering about.

I’ve been smoking weed since about 1993 or 1994, and smoked all sorts of weed since. I’ve never seen weed that look like pine needles before. I smoked the best and smoked the worst, and pretty much everything in between. I’d say the weed in the mid 90's that we used to get from the surfers here in Southern California was by far the best ever. The hippies weed was second place because they were too cheap and lazy to do the hydroponics back then. Sinsemilla just means mostly seedless weed that was grown on an unfertilized female plant

My brother was stationed in Arizona (Flagstaff?) in the late `70's/early `80's brought some sinse with him. He also had something he called, Maddanooshka Thunderfuck that was supposed to be really wipe out weed!
The pine needle looking stuff was obtained by a Vietnam vet that was close friends with my band in the early `80's. I have no idea where he got it but he and the guys from my band got really high from it and I've never seen it before or since.

It tastes sweet but I would still probably cough as I don't like smoke in my lungs.

I always told myself I'd try it at some point and I went to a party one of my roadies was having. The bhong came around to me and I decided to try a hit. It burned my throat. Maybe I didn't do it right, I don't know but, when it came around again, I took another hit with the same results. Exactly one year later, I was at another of his parties and the bhong came by me again and I thought, maybe this will be different. I tried one more hit with the same results! That was enough for me!
If someone can put it in a pill form, maybe I'll try that.

Don't they have those edibles around there? That should do the trick. You may love it. I don't mess with it anymore because of the cough and lung irritation but if edibles were legal here I'd enjoy some from time to time.
