Sure, your body, your life. If you want to fuck up your internal organs and your personality self medicating with steroids, go ahead.
But... insurance companies are there to help with catastrophic medical events and routine health maintenance not slow intentional suicide. They should also have rights. Like the right to walk away from paying for liver damage for chronic alcoholics. Or the right to walk away from lung cancer or heart failure for smokers. Or meth addicts, coke addicts, or heroin addicts. Or the right to say buh-bye to insecure gym rats looking for a quick solution by self medicating with steroids. Or insurance companies should be allowed to increase premiums for these people by 300- 500%.
As it is, these people looking to commit slow suicide are in the same risk pool with the rest of us. That drives up everyone else's healthcare premiums to pay for these idiots. Jack their premiums through the roof or cancel their coverage completely. Make them feel the consequences of their choices.
Absolutely not. I was bodybuilding a better part of a decade. Trained naturally for years and then took the enhanced route when I wanted to compete. My generation saw a lot of good dudes die randomly of either heart failure or they just went into cardiac arrest. Gen Z looksmaxxers would take tren and not even know how to train or eat. Steroids should only be considered if you want to compete. That’s not how this generation would use them. There needs to be legal ramifications and barriers put in place.
There's a massive difference between stacking tren with dbol and anadrol like the typical "steroids" the uneducated think, and bumping your testosterone levels 2-5 times the natural ceiling whilst taking blood pressure reducers, without even affecting the liver.
But yes, even the desire to have high testosterone is something I'm losing as i quit being a teenager.
Ahah you’re 22 dude your testosterone is solid. You can still gain a ridiculous amount of muscle at your age.
Steroid use has been linked to cancers and behavioral abnormalities. Using them to gain muscle mass is vanity and is not necessary. It also causes acne breakouts, etc.
Unless a doctor recommends steroid use to pain relief or an actual medical reason, they are not safe to use continually.
I would be okay with that IF you pay higher insurance premiums. Because you're a lot more likely to need their services. And yes for me it should also be the same with smoking and some other things...

Choose as opposed to an Rx for specific medical issues? No.
I know someone who is on a monthly steroid regime- 4 days on Rx steroids each month- rest of the month off. The treatment is used to help the body build-up the platelets level (platelets help blood to clod if injured). The individual is totally whacked out on the meds , and then crashes the rest of the month.
This is a complicated issue because it sits between personal freedom, public health, and fairness. On one hand, adults should generally have autonomy over their own bodies, including the right to make informed choices about substances like steroids. Some argue that if a person fully understands the risks and still chooses to use them, it could be treated similarly to other legal but risky choices.
On the other hand, anabolic steroids carry significant health risks; heart problems, hormonal disruption, mental health effects, and their use is often tied to pressure in sports, appearance standards, or unsafe self-medication. Legalizing them broadly could increase misuse, normalize harmful body expectations, and put more strain on healthcare systems, even for insured users. So the debate usually comes down to balancing personal choice with long-term health risks and social consequences. That’s why most countries keep them controlled rather than fully legal for general use.
Philosophically speaking, I believe in an ideal society where drug regulations like that would not be needed.
Practically speaking, I don't trust people, as a whole, enough to believe in my ideal. So let's ban steroids yep. Fuck my philosophy.
like if you're allowed to eat yourself to death with fast food by becoming obese, diabetic and eventually litterally killing yourself through overeating untill your arteries are clogged and you die of a heart attack, i don't see why you shouldn't be free to kill yourself putting drugs in your bod. everything you put in your body has a certain effect. food does and drugs do. so i kind of view them the same.
As long as the insurance system does not have to pay for their liver failure, testicular cancer or phychosis.
You can get it from a doctor if you have money. It would be a safer monitored stack too.
Exactly. It's already legal on prescription.
No. Don't be stupid
A lot of these steroids are illegally produced. You've no idea what shit is put in them.
All drugs should be legal except for driving, operating equipment, etc.
Wouldn’t the insurance companies have something to say about that?
If you’re not in a competitive sport…absolutely. Pay for your stuff and live.
It’s their body they can do whatever they want.
No, there are too many bad consequences.
Yes. If you wanna die go for it.
