Is it normal for severe period migraines to return right after an ER visit?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently home by myself and spiraling a bit, so I could really use some reassurance or advice.

Yesterday, my parents took me to the emergency room because I’ve been dealing with incredibly severe migraines. I am also on my period right now. While I was at the ER, they did a CT scan, and the doctor told me everything looked completely normal and cleared me to go home.

The problem is, right now I’m back at home and the severe migraine/headache is hitting me hard again.

Is it normal for period/hormonal migraines to be this persistent and painful?
Could my anxiety be making the pain worse or triggering a rebound headache?
The ER said I was medically fine, but because the pain is still here, my anxiety is convinced something is terribly wrong. I'm having a really hard time calming down. Has anyone else experienced migraines that linger right after an ER visit, especially during their cycle? How do you calm your mind when the pain won't stop?

This is what I’m experiencing
