When is the soonest I can take a pregnancy test for best results? I haven’t had my period in over a year, so I can’t rely on when to take it based on that

3 weeks after the sex. Usually tests are taken 2 weeks after ovulation but if you don’t know when you ovulate you have to wait another week because sperm can live inside you up to 7 days sometimes (more often up to 5 days, but up to 7 days is possible for some sperm from some men) so if you have sex and the ovulate a week later you can get pregnant and then need to wait 2 weeks after that for reliable result. If it’s positive before that time frame then it’s positive and reliable but if it’s negative it could still become positive later so that’s why you need to wait 2 weeks after ovulation/3 weeks after sex.
