Sudden painful inverted nipple during intimacy: should we worry?

During intimacy, I noticed that my girlfriend's nipple had become inverted, and when I touched it she said it was painful. We were concerned enough that we went to the hospital around 5 a. m.

I know breast cancer is one possible cause, but are there other conditions that can also cause a painful inverted nipple? Has anyone experienced something similar?😕

I think she should consult a doctor and not so much have her boyfriend asking strangers that are not qualified on the internet. That would be my suggestion.

The best I can do i Google it and get the same information you can by doing the same. I doubt there are many doctors here let alone those qualified to do an online assessment. Seeing how cancer could be one cause, I would be racing to the doctor if it were me.

We're already under medical care and waiting for the biopsy results. My question wasn't asking strangers to diagnose her. I was simply asking if anyone had experienced other possible causes...

I haven't a clue what else would cause that. I would be concerned. Good for her to get medical advice.
