It can, but the smart thing to do is cut out the fast food and keep monitoring your blood pressure. If you’re still seeing spikes, it’s not just the fast food.
Quick pro tip, all processed foods contain excessive sodium. This is because we are mostly water and the easiest way to make chemical additives more readily metabolized is by bonding them with sodium. This includes many medications, including over the counter stuff. So watch how much processed foods you eat from the store as well as take out. Check your additives and drink plenty of water, but not too much. Being overly hydrated can raise your BP too. You might have to remove one or two things at a time until you find the culprit, if it’s dietary at all.
Obviously caffeine is a possibility too, if you’re a coffee or energy drink consumer. BP spikes can be behavioral too. If you watch a lot of stressful social media, scary or dramatic movies or shows, or if you have a high conflict relationship in your life.
There are lots of possible causes. I recommend you do some reading on the subject, especially before you accept a doctor’s recommendation to go on blood pressure meds.
Good luck!
Yes it certainly can , you are having a serious reaction to some preservative in there..
In this day and age , absolutely no one should be consuming that shite.. ever ! It's the equivalent of tobacco , create a never ever list , make sure all this FF rubbish is on the list and watch your overall health improve.
Make sure your weight is absolutely correct also.
Good Luck.
Thank you
A single fast-food meal can easily contain 1,500 to 2,000+ milligrams of sodium, so yes, it is not going to do you any favours.
