Do you have health insurance and can you easily get treatment whenever you get sick?

I am very curious about how easy is to access medical care in the USA when you need it. There are some rumors claiming that if you get sick you could end up bankrupt. How true is that?

My former employer provided great health care coverage. although I did have co-pays and an annual deductible.

Now that I am retired, I have Medicare part A (hospital costs), B (doctors) and D (drugs and medications), as well as a supplemental policy that covers anything that Medicare doesn't. I can't remember how much I pay for Medicare part B because it is automatically deducted from my SociaI Security. I currently pay $325 per month for that supplemental policy but haven't had to pay one dime in medical bills. My insurance has payed out many thousands of $.

Yes, I have excellent health insurance. I pay extra for the so called Cadillac plan. My wife had cancer so we want to coverage where you can go to any hospital and see any doctor.
I just had a total hip replacement and it cost me a 20 dollar co pay and another ten bucks for medication.
Like anything else in life, you get what you pay for.

Although our National Health Service (NHS) is almost at breaking point and in crisis, it is still always there and available when needed.

I have insurance when i’m working. I have savings and an insurance credit card for when i’m not.
