Have you ever wondered why we feel pain?

So you wish that if you put your hand on a hot stove, you wouldn't feel pain to indicate you should remove your hand quickly? You'd rather the flame burn through your flesh until the fat under your skin burst into an open flame and a grease fire consumed and you palm as you were irreparably damaged and crippled for the rest of your life? Isn't a little pain, better than a life changing alteration?

Almost constantly. In my case since January 26th of this year I've wondered why I feel pain that shouldn't be pain. I have been to 4 doctors in 3 different fields, the last 2 being podiatry and neurology. Still no definitive answer. Next step is brain, cervical, and lumbar MRI's followed by a possible EMG. So yeah I wonder when I won't feel pain..

Pain is the primary indicator that something is wrong. If you can’t diagnose problems, then you can’t fix them. That just means more pain, dysfunction and often a premature demise.
