Why is pain unbearable and agonizing when people feel it, they technically don’t really feel it because atoms don’t touch, but also their brain is only signaling there is pain. By the nervous system/ nerve receptors. So why do we cry or yell when in pain or even faint from shock? Shouldn’t we remain composed and simply handle the situation? This doesn’t make sense to me as to why people are this way.

When you're in pain, you enter in a state of shock, and your brain ignore the pain feeling so you can continue to function despite the pain.
And more generally, your brain tends to ignore as much as possible what isn't a serious situation, until you focus on it and it can't ignore it anymore.
That makes sense. I just don’t understand why we feel anything or if it’s excruciating. I feel like we should just be alerted of an issue with our body but not feel it in our sensory system. Also why would it feel ticklish instead of painful? Why can’t we feel a pleasant sensation or just casual irritating sensation to let us know we’re injured instead of a sharp unbearable sensation? Yk? 🤔
Traditional if you were in that much pain you go into shock so you can die more peacefully. No point in being conscious while a bear starts to eat you alive.
I suppose so. I just don’t understand why we can’t enter state of shock without having felt a painful sensation. Why not a casual or pleasant sensation. Just any sensation to draw our attention to it Without us being in direct agony.
Because that’s how these things work
