The pool I use is an in ground pool

In ground 20X40ft with a 9ft max depth. Typical suburban pool. It doubles as a mole, mouse, chipmunk, rabbit, snake, frog, and insect trap. Also collects leaves and pollen. I addition to the skimmer built into the pool filter, I have 2 robots that clean it. If you have a pool you need to get these robots. There are tons of brands that all do pretty much the same thing. Surface skimmer - Battery plus solar recharging. 10-12 hours continuous run time. About 2 hours to charge on AC. Bottom, walls, and stairs - Lithium Ion battery. 3 hour run time. 3 hour charge time.

Inground in our apartment complex (community pool) and the Mediterranean sea about 300 yards from our doorstep. Best of both worlds.

We're planning an above ground pool for installation next spring. Our deck sits around 3' above grade, so we're planning on extending the deck to meet the pool, with a step up so the deck along the pool is at the same height as the edge of the pool making it function more similarly to an in-ground pool.

We have told both our children that when they're a little older and have learnt to swim proficiently, we might well consider having either an indoor pool, or one within our grounds.

I live in a small apartment so no pool for me... but a 4 hour drive north and i have 100s of perfect lakes.

We don't have enough yard space for a pool.

Yes and it's in ground. Most people in Florida do.

NONE of the above as they say. I just go to the beach & swim in the ocean.
