Do skin problems make intimate medical exams feel more embarrassing?

Imagine you have groin pain and have to take off your underwear for the examination. Even though the issue isn't actually about your intimate area, you still have to expose yourself because of the groin problem. You have pimples and inflammation there; maybe there’s an odor, or at least it looks gross. Yet, that isn't the doctor's primary focus. Or perhaps you're getting a physiotherapy massage on your buttocks or sacrum—it’s not a proctologist visit—but you still have to take off your pants, revealing the rash and inflammation there. Do you find all of this more embarrassing because your "secret" has been exposed? Would it be easier to get examined there without the pimples and blemishes? Do these visible issues make you feel more self-conscious? Thanks.
