You are a guy, I am a girl, it is different for both of us. :P I guess it depends if it is a full body examination or not. It is quite possible that you may not need to remove any clothes or only strip down to your underwear. I would prepare for the worst, but I don't think is likely, so I would not worry too much. ^^

I’m a guy who is in favor of mothers in exam room with both sons and daughters until they are. 18.
A mother is her child’s advocate and defender and she should know and see EVERYTHING that goes on in the confines of the exam room and she should know EVERYTHING that is said between the doctor and child. Especially in today’s day and age. But what about erections, sex, and masturbation?
Mom should know and does know her son masturbates and has erections.
Yes it may be EXTREMELY embarrassing for a son to be seen naked and feeling vulnerable. But after the mother sees her son once, there is no unseeing it so being seen again once or twice a year should not be traumatic. Mom should tell her son beforehand what is going to happen and assure him that nudity in the medical context is nothing to be embarrassed about and that once he’s been seen the barrier has been removed and can’t be reconstructed.
My mom didn’t take me to annual physicals but I wish she had. I would have been horribly mortified but in time I would have gotten acclimated to it. I was very close with my mom and she was my best friend. After the initial trauma of being naked, I believe it would have made us even closer.

I’ve had a physical exam before, nothing much to worry about. My nurse was an older woman. She did have to look at my penis but I tried not to think about it so I wouldn’t get a bonner
