No! You will lower your metabolism. Your body needs food. If you start eating dangerously low calories your body first of all will not be able to work efficiently second will go into starvation mode and hold onto all the fat you want to lose. A girls body needs 1200 calories a day minimum just to perform normal bodily functions, but even that isn't enough.
And its not all about eating less either. It's about eating healthy, real food that you find in nature. Special K is processed garbage that is full of sugar and enriched bleached flour. It doesn't matter that the products are low calories because what are you getting from eating special k? All you're doing is getting a sugar fix.
Listen to me. If you want to get in shape I suggest you start going to the gym and getting on a good strength training and cardio routine and focus on eating all clean food for now. What you want to do is raise your metabolism with strength training by gaining lean muscle. Muscle is metabolic and burns calories all day long. If you gain muscle your metabolism will go up. Eat 5-6 meals a day each with 3-4 ounces of lean protein, 1/2 cup of a complex carb like brown rice or oatmeal, and as many veggies as you want. Also drink tons of water and eat some nuts once a day because you need the good fats.
What you need to do is cut out all the empty calories you eat that come from sugar and white flour, eat healthy and start working out 4-5 days a week. Trust me I know what I'm talking about.

If you keep eating only 1000 calories it'll work. If you go back to eating normal you'll gain everything back. I would go on 'diets' every couple weeks for my sport and I would only eat about 500-800 calories a day, if even. I would lose about 5 pounds in 3-4 days but it was mostly water weight and it came back as soon as I started eating again. If you're looking for long term weight loss you should start exercising and cutting back the portions of what you eat. You need calories for energy.
You'll lose some, whether you gain it all back and more depends to some extent on what the 1000 calories come from. If its from special K, you'll probably regain all plus more.
If 800 of the 1000 are protein, you'll preserve a lot more lean body mass on the way down, which means less regain if you start eating -healthy- amounts.
Read up on protein sparing modified fasts. Do the reading before you try it, and if you do try it, include carb loads and base it on real food, NOT supplements.
EATING FAT DOES NOT MAKE YOU FAT.
It's a myth perpetuated by the food companies. Special K diet is such a f***ing joke, I've heard so many people get sick on it. What do you eat more of if you eat less fat? Sugar and carbs! What actually makes you fat? SUGAR. Research it.
